I was parked right on a main road as well. A neighbor in the area saw a white van pull up to my jeep and said 2 thugs got out of the van and removed the window and door in 3 minutes. they called the cops but by then it was too late. All this time I was inside the stadium watching the game. this sucks. Apparently the van had no licese plates on it as well so their description was useless. They were elderly as well. I am in complete shock.

Unbelievable... or sadly believable. Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately Wranglers in general are prone to this due to their open nature. If your insurance doesn't cover this or you don't want to contact your insurance company about this try eBay for replacements. Doors and winches are susceptible to getting pilfered, too. Tips: For mounted winches, fill in the cavities on the bolt head with a little bondo, then paint over them so they appear smooth. Will generally confuse midnight mechanics enough to deter. Security Stuff: Hood lock: urlsnip.com/094984 Door locks: urlsnip.com/354835 Wheel locks: urlsnip.com/436029 Glove Box Safe: urlsnip.com/074522I don't know much about security alarms, but I would think there's some reasonably-priced aftermarket units that might be worth a look. Sorry to hear about this, man. Those bastards should be shot.

I have no choice but to get an alarm system. I dont want a hardtop. Im so pissed off. They even stole my damn backseat all in 3 mintes flat according to the elderly neighbor who lives across the street. They said the theives were drinking beer and laughing while they went to work on my jeep. Damn im so pissed off. I feel violated.

Thanks for the tip. Just my damn luck. I made 2 payments on my jeep and now this has to happen. I hope they rot in hell.

I have nothing to offer that will help you in the least, except my condolances. I once left our garage door open overnight and had a few things stolen. Unlike you, our theft was partially self-inflicted. I know the rage you feel. Worse than feeling violated, you feel cheated because there is nobody on which to unleash your rage. As a male, it's an awful feeling. Somewhere out there are a couple hairbags with your stuff, who deserve to have their throats cut.
May Karma find them, and reward them with the wicked case of herpes they've earned.

Sorry to hear about your loss, it really sucks. I would watch Ebay in the near future as there are Unlimited parts on there regularly. Since the parts are mostly only on Unlimited ,and there aren't as many Unlimiteds as regular Wranglers the market is smaller. If these guys had a parts order and went out to get just what they needed, you will never find them. But they may have just taken them because they are so easy to get. There is an alarm that WWW.4WD.COM sells that has a dopplar radar included. It is made by Bulldog and is around $100.00. Anyone reaching in will set it off even if the top is down. I don't know how well it works but you may look into it. Good Luck.

Dang Rich...that sucks....
I know how you feel...my old Zuki Samurai got broken into multiple times when I was in college. Always the radio and speakers...always unzipped it (except the last time)...I even got an alarm system...
If you go the alarm system route, check it out first. I went the infrared route with a Audiovox alarm system back in 93. Every police handheld radio would set it off (and they loved to do it too)... It would piss off the neighbors at 3am. I would hope they are better now, but who knows...

Sorry for your loss. I hope you catch them. Maybe we should all etch our doors for ID. They must have had an order to fill. Why would they only take 1 door?
For what it's worth, I love my hardtop. Since I carry thousands of dollars of tools for work, I need the hard top. I mounted a winch in my attic and it takes 10-15 minutes to install or remove my top. Just my $.02.

Sorry to hear about that Rich.
I feel your pain. When I live in Chi-town, my old TJ was broken into 5 times. (never quite as bad as you got it though...)
what goes around comes around friend. And those guys will get theirs.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I feel your pain as my first jeep I had was broken into frequently.
Hopefully, the guys that did this will get theirs and you will get your rig fixed through insurance.
