Hate to say it, but that's why you pay the $20.00 to park in the lot. I use to bring the Scrambler to the games - no roof, no doors, and fully decorated. The worst that happened was somebody took a bunch of soda out of my cooler. Security in the lot isn't guaranteed, but your chances are much better than out on the streets. Those streets get real lonely once the game starts.

Thanks for everyones support. I really appreciate it. IM still angered by the fact that someone ripped me off. Gonna ground the jeep until i get it back to the same condition(Door, rear seat, windows etc) PLUS, I am shopping for an alarm system for it. I go to alot of Eagles games and I dont want this happening again. Those bastards even stole my victory cigar in my cupholder. I was planning on smoking my victory cigar on the wqay home and the crooks even took that . What assholes. I hope they get theirs. Rich

I have been parking n this same street for the last 14 years my friend. Never had a problem. Its not the 20.00 that im avaoiding, its the 3 hour wait to get out of the lot . Its safer where I park than in the lot anyway. The people 2 rows in front of us are season ticket holders and they park in the lot. Well, not only was there car broken into, but the stole the wheels off of it. Rich....

I'd say my 36 years as a ticket holder beats your 14. It's never even taken me 1 hour to get out of a lot, even when riding in a deuce and a half. And in all the cars I've parked over there, including 2 Jeeps, a Mustang convertible and a VW Thing, I've never once come home without a backseat.

Well...there's always going to be a few people to tell you it's your fault no matter where you go or what you do. Take it with a grain of salt... This kind of crap happens to all of us at least once in our lives... Be glad you've still got the Jeep and that it's an easy fix. They could have taken her for a joyride and really messed things up. We all have insurance for a reason...don't feel bad about having to cash in on it every now and then...otherwise you're just throwing your money away.

At no time did I mean to suggest that it was his fault. Do I feel bad for the guy? Of course I do. But I figure he has received enough condolences. As the one guy that spends his Sundays at the same place he does, I thought I'd throw out a suggestion for avoiding future loss. His reply included a fair share of sarcasm, and chest thumping, so I replied in kind. Of course you can get ripped off in a lot, but they sure as hell won't be pulling along side in a van, and loading your parts into it. At least the scumbags will have to work for it.

The thing about south Philly is that you can go from a great part of town to a crappy part of town in the span of one or two blocks. When I was working in Fishtown it was a lot like that too. I bought a 1987 Volvo sedan with 220,000 miles on it for the trip to work and back, because I saw so many cars on blocks under the bridge on my way to work.
I feel for ya Rich, and truly believe the thieves will be caught at some point and get what is coming to them. I'm not sure what you could have dome differently, and hindsight is always 20/20.
Maybe you should invest in one of those alarms that was on the market in south africa a few years back that shoots fire. That would deter the second person at least...and none of us would have to worry about the first guy.

But its certainly not a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Thanks for everyones support. Again, please, lets not fight over this. Life is way too short. Rich
