New plugs, sons rubi unlimited got oil and grease, first time to change the plugs, the one in the back is a real mess to get to. Only broke 2 of them taking them out. Was really worried about the coil rail thing, but is no big deal, is really in the way for the back one though.

Finally (after being on light duty for the past 2 months...thanks to a hernia surgery) I put my new front bumper on. I'd show pictures, but my camera battery is dead right now. It's a Rock Hard Fab front bumper with integrated winch mount. So, I also remounted the winch, and chose a better route for the power cables this time. Then I unspooled my winch line and re-spooled it all nice and tight.

Installed a new beefer steering stabilizer. Stock Stabilizer: Monroe Stabilizer: Stock vs. Monroe: Much to my suprise the installation was almost easier than changing oil.

Nice Warn!!! Is that the XD9000i??? I sure do like mine. It's proved itself time and again.
I went to the Northwest's Biggest 4wd and Offroad Swapmeet today (drove 150 miles to get there) and guys were asking $700+ for really beat of XD9000i winches.
While there, I picked up a new ARB greasable 9000# snatch block for $50. That's $10-$15 cheaper than normal. I almost bought a RE adjustable track bar, which still looked brand new. I had the guy talked down to $90, went to the bathroom...came back, and it was gone.

What is a good one to go with? ryan I've pretty much pieced my winch accessories together. I like the ARB stuff, and will eventually have one of each of their straps to go along with my snatch block. If you go to a farm supply store (Wilco, Coastal, Tractor Supply, etc...) You can get good 3" x 30' straps, and tree saver (short straps) for a good price. That's also where you can pick up some good shackles. I've got some BEEFY ones for my rigging my tree strap and straps up. Easy to use with gloves on if it's cold. Here would be my winch shoppers list: -Tree Strap -3"x30" tow strap -2 Shackles...I Like the 3/4" ones...but I also have one 7/8" one that is great. -Snatch Block -Heavy Leather Gloves for handling the cable (re-spooling) -Some sort of heavy old coat or towel to put on the line while pulling -Rubbermaid Tub to hold all of it. They've got those "Tough Boxes" "OPTIONAL" things would be like that Thimble Eye that one company puts out instead of using a hook on the end of your line. I have that hard rubber Winch Hook Isolator made by Daystar. It allows you to just snug the hook up at the fairlead instead of fastening it to a d-ring or shackle up front (and scratching/rusting your bumper). It also acts as a nice big "handle" for pulling the line out, and a weight (instead of coat or towel listed above) to dampen the line if it were to snap. I'd compare the price of piecing one together with just using some of the items you already have, and supplementing things. I don't carry a section of chain with me. I've thought about carrying about 10-ft of 3/8" HS chain with hooks at each end, but I've never came across a situation where I couldn't just use my tree strap. I suppose if you needed to tie off to a rock, the chain would be a good thing to have.

Hey c2kraft, how much did you pay for the monroe if you don't mind me asking. I was wondering if you feel a difference cause i have a rancho and wanted to replace it with a better one.

For me anything was better than my stock stabilizer. From what I read most aftermarket stabilizers are created equally. In fact most stabilizers are manufactured from the same parent facility and then distributed to be painted and stickered with selling aftermarket companies themes. To answer your question, I payed $32 for the Monroe from my local Advance Auto store.

Made a license plate bracket to mount to my roller fairlead. Law requires a front plate in Oregon...so I had to come up with something for the new bumper. I saw the kits you can buy online for $40, and was able to make the same thing for less than $20. Also, here's pics of the new front bumper. I still need to get some shorter bolts and ditch the stock tow hooks, so that I can move my fog lights in a few inches.
