I went out this morning to go to the store for Eggs for breakfast, turned key, nothing, dead battery. My Jeep recieved a jump start, trip to autoparts store, and new Optima Yellow top, wiper blades, and under the hood light. Not expecting to buy stuff for the jeep today, but well. **it happens!

Wow! nw, thats some hardcore snow wheelin but looks you like you had a lot of fun. I'm still tired from dragging winch lines/tow straps up and down hills through that knee (sometimes hip) deep snow... but it was an adventure that I'll remember for years to come!!! Today, my Jeep got: Tires Balanced/Rotated, an oil change, and a new drain valve for the oil pan so that I don't make such a huge mess with the oil drippng/draining across the Skid Row engine skid. The days not over though.... I may pick up some new wiper blades and brake fluid (yep...I know, really exciting stuff!!!).

My Jeep is getting a new garage mate to take over some of the heavy lifting. Between the $400.00 a month I spend on gas, and the 25,000+ miles a year I put on the Wrangler, I've just decided enough is enough! I went out last night and ordered a motorcycle to take over my commuting duties. I used to want one for fun, but felt I wouldn't get enough use out of it, but now the game has changed. Right after I moved further from the office gas prices went through the roof, and I'm just sick of giving so much of my cash to the oil companies. I figure if I can get 8 solid months a year out of it, the thing will pay for itself. Naturally, the drastic reduction in the mileage accumulation on the Jeep may be more important than the gas savings. My Jeep will live a lot longer, and since there is currently nothing on the market that I would want to replace it with, that is really important to me.

Put air in the front left tire again, and a little in the front right.

I gave it the day off and took my wife's XJ while she's in Austin TX for work. The only problem is I get funny looks at the lights when driving the XJ, cause she's got a hot pink sticker on the back window that says "Silly Boys, Jeeps are for Girls". Oh and the LJ got a fresh clean Air Filter. Can I just say who ever put the clamps on the air filter box was not thinking about those of us with bigger hands. I have a helluva time getting the rear clip on the passenger side of the air box that's wedged between the power box and the air box

Mine is parked at the airport and is overdue for an oil change, tire rotation, and transmission, transfer case, and differential fluid changes.

Friday will bring an oil change, a professional alignment, and a swapping of the rear springs due to massive rear a$$ sag.

My Jeep got a wash last night. For a while, I thought it was Salt colored.
