I like the new wheels better then the black ones. I'm old school and like shinny things in moderation. Who's wheels are those new ones? Also do they have a lip on both sides so you can put weights on for balancing? I have a set of AR wheels that can only be balanced with stick on weights. They come off on me to often. I have a set of chrome cheap Cragars (don't get them) and they have the lip and the balancing is much better with them. They rust and lose air but they stay in balance.

Thanks! Drove around 80 with no wobble with the new wheels. The black wheels had a lip, not sure about these. My ravines had stick on weights and had some wobble one morning on my way to work. It was one little weight that had come off that caused it.

This is what we did Saturday and today. My son in law and I lifted his Rubi over the weekend. He went with the OME lift with www.dpgoffroad.com rear springs. He added a 3/4" spacer up front to acount for the new bumper and winch that will someday go up front. OME shocks, JKS front and rear adjustable trackbars and quick disconnects. He is going with 285/75/16 Cooper STT tires ,keeping his stock rims. He already has a 1" BL so the 33"s should fit great. Here it is Saturday when we started.... The front in progress..... THe finished product with the stock 31"s still..... We had a great time doing this. Had to take the rear trackbar out once and move it to recenter the axle but that was the only redo we had. Centered the front and did an alignment, centered the steering wheel and off he went to test ride it. No vibs, everything rode real well.

Looks good money! Man, we could start an IL chapter of the "Red Unlimited Jeep Club" if we wanted! I checked out that link to Pittsfield. Are you going again this year?

Thanks Rubi, Both my son in law and I are going again. It really is very well run and all on private land. We rent a small house about 10 miles from town. If you have any questions let me know. This run was a Jeep Jamboree till about 7 years ago when they had a falling out with JJ. Just a whole lot cheaper now.

Hey moneypit, looks sweet great job on the install. I see that you installed a old man emu steering stabilizer and wanted to know how the install went, because i hear that it doesn't come with instructions for torque specs and which washer goes where. If its no problem can you help me out on how i need to install and what to look out for. Thank you.

Hey Jeepguylj, Thanks on the install. It really wasn't that hard, just time. On the steering stabilizer, you are right there were no instructions. But it can only go in one way. The one end is just like a shock so that's just a through bolt. The stock Stabilizer needs to be removed with a gear puller . Back the nut down to protect the end of the threads and hit it with a BF hammer. There is a taper in the stock hole. They include a tapered washer that fills in the taperd hole making the straight bolt from the new one go in. Then a washer on the bottom and tighten. I must say I don't know what to torque it to. I just tightened it well with out cranking it down. Same with the one on my Jeep and It's been fine for over 2 years. The whole job takes about 30 minutes including getting out the tools. Go for it!

I just installed moneypit thanks for in the input. The one thing that really was odd is that i got compress the ome stabilizer with my hands is that normal. I took out my old rancho and wasent able to compress it with my hands i had to put one end on the ground. I hope my ome stabilizer isn't bad. I have a few more questions for you sorry for all the questions. installed pic. I torqued it to 55ft lbs and i saw that the bushing on the drag link was not even.is this normal. I didn't know were this part went so i didn't install it do you know where it goes.

It's dark and raining out here so I can't say for sure that my Bushing is not just like yours. It looks right. I forgot to tell you that sleeve doesn't get used. We each got it with the kit. As long as the tapered sleeve is in the right direction you are good to go. The sleeve centers that bolt. The OME stabilizer is a good one, so no worries there. One of the things people like best about it is that it has a smooth factory like ride. Good Job!
