Tried to drive myself to the hospital last night and ended up stopping a police officer and asked if I could follow him to the hospital. Well, they called an ambulance and my Jeep ended up on the side of the road. Called my wife and some friends picked it up for me. " STILL WORRIED". Turns out I have pancreatitis, gallbladder disease and fatty liver. Being that I'm not a drinker makes all of this strange. I was in so much pain they gave me alot of morphine and I really dont remember much until I woke up at 11:30 this morning. I'M JUST GLAD MY JEEP MADE IT HOME OKAY.

I had a pancreatitis attack a few years ago.. was very painful. kept me in the hospital a week hooked up to IV's and painkillers.. no fun. I read where high lipid levels in the blood (hypertriglyceridemia can be a cause as well as alcohol and other causes. I hadnt drank for over 10 years when mine acted up but the doctor kept trying to focus on my past drinking. Hope youre feeling better. on a sad note , a coworker's husband died from complications from his attack. take care!

Glad you're OK. The cops were right. Driving in that condition is dangerous. As for the Jeep, glad to here it made it back too. Get better and keep us informed....

X2... you did the right thing by asking an officer for assistance... and he was a better judge of your condition than you were at the time. My dad had that many years ago, his was from drinking. I sure hope you have a quick recovery! Stick with your new diet plan and you'll probably have very few problems in the future. I would have had a hard time leaving my Jeep too...

its good to hear you're feeling a little better.
It'd be hard to leave it behind, and in your condition probably didn't want to leave it. Look on the bright side, leaving the Jeep was better than crashing it.

I'm glad you made it home.(Jeep too) I have a fatty liver. Cutting back on cokes and working out have helped a lot. It has helped with my gout also.
Getting old sucks, but it beats the alternative. Take care.

That was going to be my next question. What causes all that pain and how do I avoid it? As I edge nearer to my mid thirties, I am for the first time starting to notice that body parts tend to stay sore just a tad bit longer. Love to hear some advice from the old men.
