Nope.. 3.73 and 35's.. Going to take most of my pay from basic and AIT and buy ARB's and Gears and Diff covers.. the works.. As for the gears, they work OK for now. When I get it in 4low, it dont matter. Is it the ideal setup? No. Is it as bad as it sounds? No. I love the black wheels though, thats all I've ever wanted!..

Here's a poser pic of my white LJ, new off the boat from when we were in Korea (part of the reason for the lack of mods...). Did get it muddy while we were there, but sorry no pics. Now that we are back in the states, parts will ship, now only if I had some cashola...If I can ever find a dang dirt road in MD, maybe I can get some real fotos.

jered, I saw the wheels and the stock rocker guards and just assumed you had a Rubi. Didn't realize you were running 3:73's. Good news on the black wheels...they're cheap! cmhowell13....nice ride!

LOL, it's a REPLICON! Yeah, when it was stock, I picked up the wheels and tires CHEAP from a guy who had lifted his 04, and I wanted the tires over my GS/A's, and the Rocker Guards I picked up also from another guy for free and put em on, I thought free protection!. I know they're not the best but it's better than nothing!
And cmhowell, that's soo cool to be in another country with the LJ. Wonder if they give you weird looks for having a "funny looking car".

They had their own "Jeeps", but nothing like the real thing. Lots of people stop to stare and ask. Was the only one on the peninsula for a while. They really don't have access to buying them, just Korean manufactured cars. And they love their "bling". Tape or strap anything to a car and they love it. What was even better was seeing Jeep Cherokee-style SUVs in China, before the Commander hit the streets in the US. Different markets offer different vehicles. Snagged some cool pics of Jeeps there in Beijing.

cmhowell13,
I was stationed in Korea from 2000-2001 around Tongduchon (Casey). I could not imagine driving around Korea period much less a nice new Wrangler. That has got to be the scariest place hands down to drive around in.
BTW, LOL on the bling! I did notice you don't have any lights, stickers or tassles hanging off the rig. How did you get any respect?

Man, they were wacky. We drove all over the place, downtown Seoul, Osan, East Coast...(knock on wood), NEVER had a scratch, ding or anything there, was a little paranoid, but hey. You know, you get used to driving there and it wasn't bad at all. The hardest part were some of the less-than-one-lane alleys and farm roads that barely fit a "tractor". Truthfully, it looks like utter chaos, but it had a certain rhythm to it, heck China was worse with the 10 katrillion bicycles with the cars. Horn honking has its own language. The LJ was the mil's present to me, paid half my Jeep for the extra 12 months!

Well, aside from the LJ, I am now commuting to work primarily on two wheels. I got a 2008 Buell Blast about four weeks ago and have around 1000 miles on it already...it gets around 56-60 mpg in the city which is a damn sight better than the last average in the Jeep 13.2 mpg.

I went the motorcycle route too. I sold my last one a few years ago to buy a quad for my wife. Now with gas prices and me drooling every time I saw a bike ride by she finally said go get another one. I ended up with a 2007 Yamaha V-Star 1300. I need a better picture, as it has a bit more chrome now, and the rear seat is gone and replaced by a chrome fender rack that follows the lines of the bike. The Jeep has some sort of mystery "clunk" right now which I'll be investigating this weekend.

Sweet bike, I would like to get a motorcycle like this, but they are a little small for me. I like that its American made! Bias, due to a Harley plant 5 miles from my house.
