Thanks! I really enjoy it. Closest I can get to my old Scrambler, but quicker and more comfortable!

AZJeeper,
Have you tried running without the transfer case spacers? The shop that put my 4" lift on back in 2004 instinctively put in the spacers, even though they were not needed. I took them out and, as expected, got no vibes. They only thing else I had to do was adjust the t-case shifter, which was simple.
The RE 4.5 is a different lift, netting a little more height, so yours might be necessary. I don't know for sure.

Never tried taking them out. 4Wheelers Supply did the lift. They recommended only the T case drop insted of the SYE because of the longer wheel base of the LJ. He said they've put this lift on quite a few LJ's and have only need the spacers. I do get a vibe at about 50mph, but I think it's one of those Cragar steelies. I'm tempted to go back to the stock Rubi wheels after these 33's wear out.

If 4Wheelers did your lift, then you probably need the spacers. I trust those guys to do it right.

They recommended only the T case drop insted of the SYE because of the longer wheel base of the LJ. i can understand that the tcase drop vs the sye....but remember that you're still losing the clearance under the tcase with the drop. Plus once you add the sye you can put in that tummy tuck you've wanted to get more clearance.

I too have a lot of faith in the guys at 4Wheelers. This is the second Jeep they've lifted for me, and I was very satisfied with both of them. I considered the SYE, but money was tight at the time between the lift, shocks, tires, wheels, bumper/tire carrier, etc. So I had to settle at the time. Maybe a SYE down the road to gain a little more clearance. But to be honest, I don't do anything hardcore offroad. All of my Jeeps have always been "tools" to me...to get me where I want to go for finding snakes, out of the way fishing holes and camp sites, scenic areas for photography, etc. So far this setup has served me very well. But who knows, our Jeeps are always evolving! A 1" BL and 35"s could be in it's future too?!? Cheers, Bill

lawdodge - Great looking Jeep, must be nice to run around in the forests of Northern Cal.
azjeeper - You do need to get out! And you've got a great state with lots of trails to get out in! By the way, sweet looking Rubicon.

ridge, I'll be out there soon! Plenty of trails only minutes from my house too. I can't stand the heat, and by the time it finally cools off around here it seems the holidays and all the chaos that accompanies them are upon us. I was out quail hunting with a buddy the other day in his truck, and it was gorgeous out. I'll be out in the Jeep soon! jered, you're exactly right. I was conidering a Woods driveshaft, but like I said money was a factor at the time. Great looking rig by the way! Any side shots of your rig on level ground? I'm considering going back to the stock Moab wheels, and possibly 35's too. I'd like to see how yours looks. Thanks!
