:(Well I've been brain storming again and as usual not much progress. I've decided to get some 32/11.50/15 BFG A/T's and use'em for driving around and light wheeling. I would like to use the stock ravine rims (cause I can't sell'em) and they do look good. I'd keep the M/T's for when I would go out for the rough stuff and would add some extra life in them, they have steelies w/ 3.75 BS. I don't want to use spacers, due to the hassle of taking them off/on. Jeepguylj is running stock rims with 32's and washers on the stops, he also has a 3" lift and says he has no problems. I have an OME lift w/ 1" BL and don't want to rip up the tires. Any ideas? BTW, Thanks for all the input on the air pressure post, what a difference 10lbs makes

There is a guy on ROF and JU named "TJ in a Tight Spot" who runs a 15*10 with 3.75" BS and 1.25" Spydertrax spacers with 33*12.5*15. From all of his pics, it looks like he doesn't rub at all... Give me a little bit and I'll post some pics...

I'm running 33x10.5s BFG ATs on the stock wheel (3" BDS lift) and only rub a tad when disco'd @ full flex. IIRC OME's supposed to be a 2.5" with a 1" BL you should be fine. I'd say go up and not out.

With the RE 3.5" Superflex lift, I was rubbing more than a tad bit when disco'd @ full flex on the stock rims with 33x10.5x15 BFG MT's. So, I put Spidertrax spacers on, and that cured my issues. Got tired of hassling with the spacers, and went with a set of rims with 3.625" backspacing. It's a great combo. On the RTI ramp things just fit right on up into the fenderwells with no rubbing at all...all the way to my bump stops.

I decided to run 33x10.50 MTs on Outlaw II wheels 15x7 with 3.75 BS. No spacers,: added Rubicon flares to get "almost" full tread coverage and be "almost" PA state legal. I haven't had the opportunity yet to disco and flex it, see if it rubs (it shouldn't). Here's a pic of the rear with those wheels/tires/Rubi flares:

Looks good! Let us know what happens when you disco. Also how are those tires on the road. I have Goodyear MT/R'S and they are noisey. I was thinking of trying the BFG's when these wear out.

So far, just a couple thousand miles, I don't find them too noisy. I ran 33x12.50 BFGs on my old CJ for many years and didn't find them noisy either... but the whole rig was noisy, tires were drowned out by the loose top, side exhaust, rattles and squeaks... I think the key is to rotate them with every oil change, 3500 miles. I'll be doing a 5-tire rotation instead of the 4 I used to do, since I have 5 matching tires/wheels.

I know this was answered once before but I forgot. Can a rim holding a 12.50 wide tire also work for a 10.5? If I have a 3.75 backspacing, I am going to look stupid? Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread.

No sweat on the highjacking if it's info it's all good. I know a few people who use a 12.50 tire on stock rims and they are 5.5 backspacing, but a spacers are needed. I found out you can get away with 10.50 on stock rims no spacing needed just small lift, 2" w/a 1" BL or a 3". I am going with the BFG A/T on stock rims with 33/10.50/15.

33x10.50s rubbing? 33x10.50s on factory wheels...just barely rubbed here(full flex & turning): sorry for the poser pics but best shot I had of it.

Nice Ride, Thanks for the pics, I am sold on the 33/10.50.15 A/T's. They'll be fine for me for around here, plus I'll have the M/T's for the rough stuff. When they wear out I'll get some BFG M/T's. The pro comp are good but they have chunked some in the sharp rocks out here. Maybe by then the new BFG's will be out in 32's or 33's...................

Thanks. I have the BB and BL on 33s now. I am running 33 x 12.5 ProComp Xterrains right now but as I look ahead, I think I want a little lighter radial w/o such an aggressive pattern. Its a DD and I am finding the dream of wheeling every weekend has not materialized into the reality I had in my head.

Have any of you guys running 33x10.5's on stock rims had to add any washers to your steering stops?

I have heard that you would not need to add spacers with the 33/10.50/15 only a lift. I read about the spacer issue on 4x4xplor. It's a very good site and Eddie (owner) will answer your e-mails with advice also.
