The half door version is not bad, but the full door version looks too "hummerish" for me. The JK in general still needs to grow on me. It's a Jeep, so I love it anyway. Just need to give it time. I would love to see one in person.

Hmmmm, I could cope with the four doors and half doors. I still prefer 2 doors, but I could cope... Where did you find those pics? I found the 07 unlimited page, but not those pics. www.jeep.com/en/07wranglerunlimited/gallery/

They should have made the "B" pillar like the door surround on the '06 and down, removeable. Other that that I like it a lot

I looked at and sat in an 07 Unlimited last weekend at one of the local dealers. It's a full door soft top Sahara model. I agree with the Hummeresque feeling inside of it, but all in all not bad. My wife didn't like it one bit, I kind of liked it myself.

Confession. We're thinking about this one, even though we both still love my '06 Unlimited. I have mixed feelings about trading in for the '07 Unlimited, knowing it's going to be considered by many as "not a real jeep", but I also know there are some out there who feel that way about the one I'm driving now, just because it's longer.
My jeep is my everyday ride, and it has probably become what would be called more mall-rated than trail-rated since we don't get off road much, but I love every minute I spend in it. It is my favorite of any vehicle I've ever had. Still... it's no fun crawling halfway through the back to get groceries or whatever else has rolled across the floor back there, so the idea of 4 doors is becoming more and more appealing. I'm not sure yet if I like the difference in the top. I thought the new jeep had molded sectional top that removes in pieces. (If it had rain gutters, that would cinch the sale for me right there! That's the only time I don't have fun with my jeep--getting in and out of it in all these Florida thunderstorms. As soon as I open my door, the rain runs right onto the front seat.)
Our local jeep dealer just sold 2 '07 Unlimited Saharas, but they were also 2 wheel drive, 6 cylinder. I hate going to a 2 wheel drive more than I hate trading my current jeep for a new one. That just seems to make it even less a jeep. I told my husband that if we do this, and it becomes the last jeep, we'll be sorry if we get a 2 wheel drive. There aren't any more currently in stock right now, but they're expecting 20 new arrivals any day, so I'm sure we'll be checking them out. I haven't been in one yet. I've only seen them online.
I'm wondering, though, are we allowed to still show our faces around here if we drive the '07 Wrangler Unlimited?
Still thinking about it.....

Hey you gotta do what works for ya. At every level of Jeepin there is someone whos rig is heavier duty then the last guy. So what. If a 4 door 07 works best for you, go get one. Now that being said I would in no way buy a 2 wheel drive. If you ever did want to do some offroading you want 4 WD. Also your resale will be much better. Wranglers have about as good a resale value as you can get. But the savings on a 2WD would not be worth the loss at trade in time. I will be more then happy to include you even if you get a 2WD Unlimited.

The '07s are real Jeeps.
If anyone gives you static on looks, it might be worth pointing out we're talking about Jeeps.
Ugly is beautiful.
DCX gave us an open tub, high-spline Danas, solid front axle and did away with the shovel. Nothing's perfect, but the 07's are a great platform and you'll soon be seeing some modded rigs tearing it up of off-road parks across NA. I'm not getting one anytime soon but they rate a Jeep wave...

The '07 Rubicon Unlimited shown at the start of this thread is the one I want, with the half doors. The dealer we bought my last 2 jeeps from just sold 2 Sahara Unlimiteds and is waiting for 20 more to arrive any day now. I don't know if they are all going to be Saharas or even Unlimiteds, but I doubt they would all be the same. He's supposed to give us a call when they arrive. My husband called him, kind of as just a joke, because the dealer sent me a birthday card. (Those cards and flyers do their job!) My husband is probably wishing now that he hadn't called him because the '06 Unlimited we have is only about 7 months old. Still, even when we got it, the '07s came out online a week later, and we were thinking about it that far back.
I really want the half doors because the look is more like a jeep, although the full doors aren't that bad. The Sahara is the only one that is available with fenders that match the body color, but half doors are not an option for it. I don't mind having a soft top, especially with half doors, but when I look at pictures of it, I wonder if it is made as well as the previous Unlimiteds. My current Unlimited has some special liner in it to make it sturdier and keep down the flapping. Pictures of '07 soft tops look flimsy to me. I hope I get to see a few different styles of the '07. I've printed out a dozen or so configurations of the Rubicon with and without different options to get an idea of the price range. The value of my current Unlimited, at least price wise, has gone down quickly, though. We would lose on it, but the dealer would come out great reselling it. Mileage is under 3000. I don't know for sure that we'll get the '07, but if we do, I wonder if it will bother me to see someone else driving my current Unlimited. It is such a thrill to drive it!

Yup, it's a real Jeep With the extra length, you'll be able to put some serious lift (and thus larger tires) before getting vibes.

With those huge tires in the last pic...it looks like you couldn't run over a speed bump without rubbing the rear tires. The lift looks great, but things look a bit "tight". What would look really good is if they had half doors on the rear and a detatchable upper half door to match the rest of the hard top. I'm still not "sold" on these...but they're quickly growing on me.

Well, it looks like I won't be getting one of these anytime soon. I priced a Rubicon Unlim. with automatic trans., dark tinted windows, and just floor mats as options, even with the Sunrider top and half doors, at around $30,765, or somewhere near that. I could do it if it weren't for the fact that Chrysler wants 7% APR minimum right now. We had 0% APR on my '06 Unlim. in May '06! Yikes! I guess I'll just have to admire the new one and aprreciate the one I have more! Only last year's models get the 0% APR.
From what I've heard from the dealer, the demand is high for the '07. It might be seen everywhere, so maybe I'll get over it.
