I usually find that I don't get a return wave if it isn't at least lifted, so after looing like a dork a few times I've limited my waves to the modified brethren...

I wave to all wranglers. But the unlimited wave is a longer higher wave for me.

I wave - Some wave back - not all. When I drove my J-10 pick-up everyday no one waved.

I love the wave. I'm a proud owner and it's nice to see other folks are the same. Also, how cool is it when your buddy sittin shotgun says "do you know that guy/girl?" and you say, "nah, it's a jeep thing; you wouldn't understand." I think you're spot on with the modified jeeps waving more though, but I noticed guys wave more than women also.

I haven't gotten a single wave yet. I never noticed how many Wranglers there were in Colorado until I owned one so maybe it is just too common. or maybe its because I am still stock. Stupid small tires.

I wave. I wave mostly at Wranglers. Occasionally an XJ or ZJ will wave but not often. However, if they are slightly modified, (no matter what type of Jeep or how "built"), the wave ratio seems to go up. Just my experience.

When I first got my '03 standard little Wrangler, it seemed like people waved a lot more. That was how I first learned about the wave. My Unlimited is only 3 or 4 weeks old, but I've passed a lot of different Wranglers out there, old and new, and it seems hardly anyone is waving now. This area is semi-rural, too. There are plenty of jeeps around here, but I've only seen 2 other Unlimiteds. I wave anyway, but sometimes feel like an idiot. One day an older Wrangler in front of me got a full, out of the jeep, whole arm wave from another older Wrangler. (sigh). I waved, too. Maybe it just takes time for them to get used to seeing you in the neighborhood. Or maybe I need a Warn bumper, winch, lifts, more mud, and a few scratches. I'm going to put the top down soon and see what happens. Here's my wave!

I think the winch, lift ,Tires and scratches Ect can't hurt. If they still don't wave you can always swerve into their lane and get their attention. Or sulute them as a last resort.

My girl and I did a wave poll two weeks ago. I insisted that there would be many waves. About half the jeepers waved. Thats okay with me.

I passed 2 or 3 jeep wranglers today that didn't wave back. It kills me when you're close enough to see their expression. They look like they're wondering, "Do I know you? " and I'm thinking, "You're driving a jeep! D'uh!" I'm beginning to think there are quite a few jeep wrangler drivers in my area that just have no clue about that jeep wave, or they're just above waving. I keep waving, unless they're 2 or 3 lanes over. Maybe they'll catch on eventually!

Starting to see more jeeps around here lately and getting more of those jeep waves. I wave first, or sometimes it's a tie, but that seems to work. Love those jeep waves!

I live in Chicago, which believe it or not is the perfect place to own a wrangler (easy to park, great in summer/winter weather). there's so many yuppies driving them it's rediculous. They don't wave, nor do hot trendy chicks because they are used to it by everyone and they didn't buy the jeep for what it is. The every day- run of the mill people all wave, and sometimes I even get the occasional toyota or lifted dodge/chevy waving to me in homage I suspect.
anyway, I always wave back, because I know when I'm driving a sedan around I wave at wranglers. The lift factor always raises more awareness totally.
I'm Chicago Police, and I'll tell you - the biggest wave that I can give is NEVER writing a jeep up (unless I'm forced to or the attitude is just WAY too much to handle). I've talked to a few harley guys, and they're the same way. I actually have waved at a few motorcyclists and they wave back. . . maybe I can start a trend as we're the 4wheel motorcycle (atv) of the passenger vehicle world

I saw the door open up and I was like great what in the hell is wrong with my jeep or what in the world did i do. He just wanted to ask me where I got my rear bumper! ;D
