17.1 degrees F outside my bedroom window this morning at 5 am! Forced me to break out my winter coat for the first time this season! Post your recent cold temps....  :hot coffee: |

Dropped down to 17 here as well last night, with 5 to -5 wind chill. Camping 4 nights ago, it was 14.....that got tough at times in a tent. At least the snow helped insulate. ~jn

When I started up my wifes XJ this morning, the weather guy said it was 8 F with a wind chill of -12 F iirc. yesterday it hit 1 F. It was cold enough that when I sat down in the drivers seat I heard the springs creak pretty bad on the XJ. The next few days it'll hit 40 and rainy.  |

It's been in the teens the last few days. But Sunday they are predicting rain and Low 50's . Gotta run, Al Gore is on the phone. Hoping he can explain this !

13 F here this morning, my bus would not start, worked for 30 minutes with jumping by two vechicles at the same time. Still wouldnt go. (diesel by the way). Took 2 surburbans to do my route, (i drive a school bus and teach school in rural oklahoma). Supposed to be 60 with heavy thunderstorms by Sunday. by the way, never did find the battery in my bus, it is a minibus built on ford chasis. I know its underthere somewhere. some talk of getting a block heater and maybe installing a battery plug on the outside of the grill to make jump starting easier.

Dang! I complain about the temp dropping down to 30. I had enough of the cold weather in the Marines during all the cold weather training. Maybe that's why I don't care for it that much now a days.......

20 degrees this morning at home, 16 at the bank on the way to work. I didn't bother with my winter coat this morning since it was warmer...  When I took the dog out this morning about 6:10, I caught a cool little meteor shower... saw 6 "shooting stars" in about 5 minutes!  |

With a coastal storm rolling through, we're only supposed to get into the mid 60's today. Burr!!!
Time to get out in the Jeep and create some more greenhouse gasses.

8 degrees 2 days ago, high tomorrow 70-- were supposed to have the possiblity of tunderstorms and possibly tornados. You can tell I live in Oklahoma.

So what did Al say Money? Al was calling from his private jet on the way back from a burger run. He was explaining that we little people should drive more fuel efficiant Jeeps and keep our heat low and lights off in our tiny little homes. That would really help out the enviorment and global warming. Or if we are rich like him we can just buy carbon credits from this company he owns. I reminded him that when I was in school in the 70's they were warning us about global cooling. We were on our way to another ice age. I said "whats up with that Al'? He said he had to go but he'd call me in 2037 and see if there was any change. So I got that goin for me! |
