Come up to WI....in my area (milwaukee-ish) in the last week we've have 20+ inches of snow (mostly falling on last wed). Weather freeks saying another 6 inches by tomorrow night. I just wish the snow wouldn't tun into big blocks of snow-ice when the weather drops to 2F w/30 mph winds. leaving wind chill in the - teens.

The ice-glaze looked cool on the trees this morning. Should have gotten the camera out. Lots of limbs, trees and wires down. The dog kept falling down when I let her out this morning. I eventually had to go out and break theough the crust so she could get some traction. The driveway was solid ice... I shovelled last night before the freezing rain started The good news is the driveway is downhill to the road and her ZJ was backed into the garage... I like her ZJ with the 249 tcase better on ice than the LJ... besides the ZJ has bun warmer seats Roads weren't all that bad this morning, still slushy/soft ice, but traction seemed OK. Looks like it's warming up, we're getting heavy rain right now.

Sweetness, its warm outside at 58*! Good thing there calling for snow by Wednesday, don't want to get this guy to excited about spring. I have to stay depressed at least until April. Oh and Lynn my LJ now has heated seats.

Shot up to 60 yesterday and now it is back down to 30 today. The ice rain last week got so bad that it cracked the windshield of the wife's minivan. Glad I did the $0 deductible for glass on the insurance thing.
I am supposed to be moving to Prattville, AL this summer. We have already rented a house down there. I heard on the the news that a tornado came through and tore up the town. Tried to get a hold of the renters but haven't heard anything yet. I hope they are OK (and yes I am thinking about the rental house too. Wife and I were patting ourselves on the back for finding such a nice house for such a great price so early in the game. I am one of those guys that life likes to play practical jokes on however. I hope fate isn't out there laughing at me right now).
Thinking about going out to get a 3D archery groundhog target just to take out frustrations with the weather. Teach that little bastard to see his shadow again.

Warm 62 yesterday, shot down after the rain, flooding, and super heavy winds, to the 30's again. My area lost power for 12 hours, had some flooding, and a huge tree in my backyard fell and smashed my kids playset. Makes you think twice about letting them play in the wind. Thank God they weren't out there!

We were at our cabin in Huntingdon (Raystown Lake, near Altoona PA) this weekend. After the big rain and warm temps on Saturday 3/8, we woke Sunday morning to light flurries, about 24 degrees. Around 9:00 am we headed to Johnstown on Rte 22. Just west of Altoona, headed up Cresson mountain on Rte 22, the temp dropped to 13, winds were 40 mph, snow was blowing, roads were covered, plows were out... looked and felt like January!! Johnstown was warmer... 18 degrees, about 3" of snow on the ground... We left there around 6 pm and by the time we got through the last tunnel eastbound on the turnpike, it was back up to 30 degrees and no snow in sight.

Yea this winter has been tough. I can reallty tell by my propane tank bills out in our Galena house. Out here we have full snow cover still. But my house near Chicago has very little snow left. This may be the first week since November that everyday gets over the freezing mark. Yahoooooo!

Its darn cold here in 'Ole El Paso, Texas. 80 and 56 Thur. 81 and 51 Fri. But very windy- AS ALWAYS 77 and 55 Sat. Clear, no wind 75 and 44 Sun. Partly Cloudy/Windy We get alot of dust storms so I wont put on the Safari top until the windy season is over. I like cold weather and get up to Ruidoso, New Mexico where there is snow and skiing. It's about 2 hours from where I live. But the weather you guys get takes alot of getting used too.

I have never been to Texas, always wanted to, but I am scared. I heard the girls are bigger down there (Just kidding of course) But really what is the windy season like, and when would be a good time of the year to visit Big Texas?

Sounds like northern Oklahoma too. We have red flag fire warnings to go with the gusty winds. Our temperatures are going crazy, 80 something for the high one day, 24 for the high the next. I think stuff is blooming as I am all stuffed up. The wonder of spring.

I know that here in the windy city we get some windy days were the Jeep feels like the alignment is off by 100%, and the wheels aren't balanced!!! These things are truly like bricks in the wind, BUT I wouldn't have it any other way I guess!
