That is so cool! I love those little things. Any shots of the interior or at least your plans for the interior?

The inside is just a double bed. The hole in the front is for a small AC unit. From the outside the AC unit will be covered by a tongue box. There is a power vent in the roof as well. The inside , headboard has louvers to let the cool air in with a small storage unit of each side of it. The foot board end has some cabinets above. The TV unit swivels so it can be used in the cabin or back to the galley.

Money that thing looks great! If you are going to the GLJT Toys for Tots Parade, you should load that thing up with toys, bring it out, and show it off! I'd love to take a look at it in person!

Thanks for the compliment. I still have a way to go. But that is a great idea. I don't know if I could finish it by then. But if you can round up enough toys to fill it I will see to it it's done.
Deal......Orrrrr no Deal?

Man that's sweet!! I've always wanted one of those. Did you design that yourself or where'd you get the plans.

The axle placement is great. That should be very stable on the road, at any speed, even if it turned out heavy (which it won't).

I did not have a plan for this one. Many plans can be ordered from differant sources, I just read up on them and started. I am on a forum at www.mikenchell.com . It's all about Teradrop trailers. Most people on the forum have made their own and share advise. Most of what I learned was from this forum. Mine is insulated and has as many creature comforts as I could cram in. Many guys build the super light weight ones. Mine should come in around 1400-1500- LBS. when done. If you are interested check out the site. My user name there is "woodbutcher". You can see other pictures in my album and hundreds of other tiny trailers on that site.

WoW! Very nice work moneypit! What material do you use for the roof?

Except for the frame, it's all wood. The roof is 2 layers of 1/8" baltic Birch plywood. There are 1" thick roof spars with that pink styrofoam insulation sandwiched in between the inside cieling and the roof. The black is epoxy and the sides are Mahogany stained with epoxy clear on top. If I could weld like you I could have done the frame myself. I designed and cut all the parts but I had to hire the welding out.

Im impressed! You have done GOOD so far. I went to the website link you posted and tehre are many nce "teardeop" trailers there. I was wondering why you wouldn't bring the rear more boxy to obtain more inside area? Is it a "teardrop" tradition thing I might not understand?

Not finished yet. Still have to do the Woody trim, like is around the door. Fenders are retro fiberglass ones that will be painted black. Still have to make cabinet doors and drawers. There is also a tongue box that covers the AC in the front. Lots of small stuff. I got some of the electric in. I am getting close . The openings on the side get upholstered so I can lean against them. The center vent is the AC return. This is the footboard end. The 2 openings on the end get doors for storage the center is the TV that swivels out into the Galley as well.

Maybe you cant weld, but you got lots of wood working skills. That looks great. Don't make me start another project! I do have another question....how does that cover for the galley/storage compartments work, as far as it sealing when you close it, and what kind of hinge and latch are you going to use?
I just sold my 23 foot camper, but I would love to have one of these lil' things!
