There are dozens of tests out there that will tell you there is no noticable difference between stock and aftermarket filter setups at normal operating rpm's. Please post links. I am more than happy with mine still. I use mine as a daily driver and when hitting the on ramps out here you'd best be sh***in'-n-gittn' or you get an a** full of kenworth. Thats when the AEM really shines. No flat spots and pulls harder than stock and,yes, I'll take it to 5000 rpm.
