 Cheers! Thanks for the great website!!! I have been searching the web for ANYTHING Jeep and Unlimited and found you guys!! I was looking for a unique license frame and somehow through CafePress I came to your site. I bought my 06 Unlimited in March. I am a Jeep virgin! I was driving a little Toyota Echo before I bought the Jeep. I love the outdoors and I was at Capitol Reef National Park last year and I realised the limitation of my little Echo. My Jeep is PERFECT!! I named the Jeep - Zion. The Jeep is my utopia. I wish I had my Jeep last year when I was in Utah.... I will just have to go back... Anyway, I have been looking for a lockable trunk because I like to go on roadtrips and it's not fun to have all your gear stolen by arseholes!! Some jerks stole my manual and service record out of my glove box probably because it was in the canvas pouch. I ordered a Bestop Insta-trunk but it's not in stock yet and Mopar doesn't make add-a-trunk anymore for the Unlimited....any other suggestions will be much appreciated?? Also, I would like to go to the Moab Jeep Jamboree but I haven't done any real off-roading before. Anyone done the Moab Jamboree? Can a Jeep virgin take on the trails?? Is there a Off-road 101 that will teach me the basics so I won't get stranded.... Once again, thanks for the website. I have met a couple of other Jeep people on the street and they are super-friend and love to talk about Jeeps and check out each other's Jeeps.... Have fun!!

Welcome to the Jeep world! There are trails out there for everyone! From Newbie to experienced. You would have lots of fun in Moab. There are tons of things to read about on the net about offroading. The best way though is to join a club or go with fellow jeepers and let others teach you. That is the easiest and best way to learn IMO. You will pick it up fast. Have fun with your new jeep and dont look at the gas gauge!  |

Welcome to the board. It's great to have new poeple. So you traded up from an Echo. You should have kept it. Would have made a cute little trailer. I to suggest trying a Jeep Jamboree. I have been to several and it's a great place to learn. As you get more confident you can move to more difficult trails.

Hi! Welcome to the forum! I'm so glad to see another female here, finally!  (There've been some others from what I gathered looking at the members list, but they don't seem to be around anymore--unless some of the members "unspecified" are female!) I'm here quite a lot, otherwise I'd drive everyone else around me crazy with jeep talk! There's been a lot of talk here about trunks for jeeps. Check the category "Sources for new Unlimited LWB accessories " and look for "Unlimited Security Box - Behind seat Poll". Also check the "General Discussion" area for "ATTN All who pre-ordered UNL Instatrunk". (I can usually get a link to work, but had trouble linking within the forum.) You might also be interested in the forum's decals. (I think they're still available!) Check the "Show off your ride" area, and mine's on page 16 with the decal. It's not the best picture, but it's a great looking decal. Both say "WranglerUnlimited.com". Then you can have it either with "Owner's Forum" or "Size Does Matter" at the bottom--or get both. (I got mine from "moneypit" here in the forum.) Be sure to post pictures of your new jeep! (I think the way to post is explained in the "Help Desk" area.) |

Hey ya! Thanks for the replies!! I have just signed up for the Moab Jamboree so I will be seeing you out there! Yeah, I should have kept the Echo for commuting to work because San Diego has the highest gas prices in the country, it's now $3.40 a gallon. But, why buy a Jeep and leave it sitting at home when I am living in sunny california? It's been fun driving it with the top down or the windows off or even just the sunrider off. It's awesome!! I watched the Hummer Suck video that was posted by someone on another link. I cracked up and I sent it to many of friends that hate Hummers. I hate it when people put Wranglers and Hummers in the same category! Cheers!

welcome aboard zion6.It's nice to to see more woman drive jeeps. I alway thought it was a man thing to drive a jeep. but here where i live I do see more woman driving jeeps,and i think it looks cool, I don't know,but there something about a woman driving a jeep that makes me smile, especially when give the wave. hope my wife don't read this.... i always tell here "it's jeep thing, you wouldn't understand". and for the trunk check out www.4wd.com or www.quadratec.com they have all the accessories for your jeep endless possibilities,and they have free catalog to..... enjoy the web site here cause there's all kind of usefull information here. l8r g8r.... |
