Holy cow, someone at work just showed me a pic of what looks to be the 2007 Jeep Wrangler. Its even bigger than the unlimited, however it looks nothing like our jeeps. I am sooooo glad I got my 2004 wrangler unlimited when I did. At least our jeeps look like "real" jeeps. The pic I saw looks like it was a 4 door wrangler but definitely did look like a TJ. Has anyone else seen or heard any info on this 2007 model? i Rich

Yep, I'm so glad I bought my Unlimited when I did. The new ones just aren't going to have the same old "classic Jeep" look. Nobody wanted a new look for the Wranglers....I'd say if it aint broke...don't fix it. I'm sure the new Jeeps will be cool...only time will tell.

Hi everybody, Mike buddy found the pic under Yahoo. I didnt like the looks of it. Totally different than our Models. Just my humble opinion, however. It looked more like a Hummer than a Jeep. Rich

Funny, that's what the CJ guys said when the Wrangler came out, and the leafspring guys said when the coilspring Wranglers came out. It will still be a full frame, with straight Dana axles underneath. Everyone is killing this thing, and nobody has actually seen it. If car models didn't evolve, we'd all be driving Model Ts. However, I will admit that I'm going to miss the 4.0.

It looks like a smaller Hummer. The front end looks way different than our normal jeeps too. It has Siameese headlights and the doors are different as well . Its very weird looking. Rich

New spy pics posted on what looks like the 2-door variant of the TK... www.colorado4wheel.com/To be honest, it doesn't look any bigger than the TJ nor does the interior look markedly different. It is difficult to come to any conclusions about size based on photos, but it doesn't seem any larger than the current SWB TJ.

Heh - I was just imagining seeing one of these with all 4 doors removed...that would probably look pretty goofy....
At least it looks like they didn't compromise too much on other things - it will be different, and as long as they keep the 3-door, I think things should be OK.

It sort of reminds me of the Jeep Rescue concept from a couple of years ago...which I thought was awesome. I am interested to see what they come up with.

From what I've heard, it will be permanent hard top, and sport AAM axles, the same brand found under many if not all newer Dodge trucks. I do kinda wish that I would have waited for the '06 because of the V6, this 13 MPG is killin' me. Although the V6 in the Wrangler, ie a brick on wheels, may not fair much better than the I6. Ya I am happy though that I bought my LJ when I did as far as body style. I don't think I'd buy a Wrangler that was'nt a convertable. Truth be known, this will likely the last Jeep I'll buy considering it's not a daily driver, and the fact that we are loosing the war against the green freaks.

Every article I have seen states that the top will consist of removable panels, rather than one big piece. The axle question was put to rest a few months ago. They were going with AAM, but Dana flexed some muscle and won back the contract.
