Hey welcome aboard, feel free toask all the questions you need to before you make the purchase. If you forsee actual 4wheeling trips in your future beyond the likes of camp jeep or similar (for which the just the Unlimited is highly capable of) then go for the Rubi. Now, if you are getting one for inclement weather, towing the jet ski, camping & maybe a camp jeep style event - then the regular Unlimited will do you just fine just my Again, Welcome

I'd echo what lwbjeep said. If you envision hardcore wheelin, the Rubicon Unlimited is the ultimate offroad package. The selectable lockers, 4.10 gears, and 4:1 Traclock t-case are fantastic. The Tracklock may be a little low for the deep mud, but for rocks and climbing, it's da bomb. Also, the 4.10 gears would allow you to run larger tires a little more comfortably than the 3.73 in the regular Unlimited. This is even more true if you go with the automatic tranny.
Again, hardcore offroading = Rubi. Or, if you can swing the extra dough, get it anyway because it's the ultimate offroad machine, and will probably hold it's value even better than the regular Unlimited.
Yes, I wish I had one, but they were not out yet when I bought ours.
