 Just picked up a 2004 Black Jeep Unlimited last night. I love it. only 2,200 miles on her. Traded in a 2002 Honda CRV LX which I owned for only 2 weeks. The Honda was ok, but it lacked in styling and I really wanted a Jeep. Glad to be here. Jeeps Rock!

Cool...I was there last weekend. My folks live in Pataskala, just east of Reynoldsburg. I grew up there, but haven't lived there for about 10 years.
If I remember correctly, there used to be some good places to go off-roading down by Rickenbacker AFB. I am not sure if they are still around though.

Nice....my ex-boss/co-worker lives in Pataskula, so I'm out there frequently...
Rickenbacker you say? hmmm...I'll start poking around to see what I can find. Most folk I've talked to on the jeepinohio boards go down to Wellsville. But I'd like to find a couple trails near home to play with things a bit since I'm a newb to the Jeep world.

There is a trail that I have been to a couple of times that is right around Eastland mall. I was there about a year ago, so I am not certain if it is still there, but I would bet it is. I talked to my dad the other night, and he told me that the spot we used to go to near Rickenbacker is gated off now.  Anyway, glad to see someone that is somewhere close by. I am still hoping to find some more Unlimited owners on the forum fro mthe Pittsburgh area. I see enough of them on the roads out here...one of them must have stumbled on the site by now. |
