Got pulled over this weekend and police officer told me that I need to remove the tailite covers that came with my vehicle. Apparently in NJ they are illegal. No ticket was issued. Gotta call my dealer and get them taken off. Im surprised. I thought they were street legal. Rich

Not trying to bust your balls or anything, but why not just take them off yourself and then sell them to someone on ebay?? Shouldn't take more than a few minutes with some simple hand tools

HI Chad, Need to get my vehicle in for an oil change and figured I would have them do both at the same time.

Rich, What do you mean (came with the vehicle) Did you buy it used?
Most of the covers day not DOT approved, or off road use only or something else similar.
Same here in MASS. No covers on tail lights and at night headlights too.
