I am going with the 4.56's when the jeep's account get's there. But a TT sure sounds tempting. If it was me for the BD present I'd do the TT.

Just for additional 2 cents worth I also have the TT on my LJ and no problem at all, I did change the rear drive shaft for Tom Woods, but the stock one will fit and has no vibrations, but was not long enough when extreme flex was involved. It is money well spent, Just look at the stock skid plate and how it works as a shovel in the mud and that front lip seams to catch all the rocks.

TT is a great mod! I ran my stock rear drive shaft for a year w/ my Medic TT & BB combo. Worked fine. And the clearance speaks for itself....

I had no vibs at all from the TT. Plus I think you can't figure a BL into the tummy tuck equation. The BL will change nothing with the suspension. Her is the only pic I have handy of my TT. If you want any more let me know and I will shoot some. I will say if you are climbing over stuff all the time the TT is the way to go. How well did the nth degree TT mate with your skid row engine/tranny skid? I am asking this because I have a skid row skid and was curious if mating the two together took some extra drilling and such. Also, just to set me straight, do you have an SYE? From the vibrations comment is seems as though you do not. Thanks, Krafty

No SYE was needed. The Skidrow required a piece added to lengthen it. In the pic you can see it's freshly painted. Just so you know Nth Degree went out of business. There is talk that one of the other big companies are going to make some of their designs. You may still be able to find a few around.

I see the over spray now. When I installed my skid row engine skid it was a pain to get a wrench in to tighten the bolts that meet the transfer case skid. With the TT in place I assume you have even less room to get a wrench in, so how did you join the two?
How many companies make TT's now? I know of 33 engineering, medic (form above), and I believe skyjacker has a model out too.
TT just makes sense for the Unlimited since we all to commonly get caught up on the shovel of a transfer case skid/mount.
After my SYE, control arms, regear, and bumpers, next on the list is a TT.
They also make the unlimited look cool too!

So I've pretty much decided on an ARB high output compressor. I have a mini compressor now, but really it takes forever, and with the ARB when I eventtually get a front locker, I'll have the compressor...plus it will be great for camping mattresses and such.
I would still love the TT, but I want to get it when I''ll have extra funds available in case I need some driveshaft mods or something. You know what they say....every Jeep is different!
Thanks everyone!

Just an update....I decided against the compressor, and got a 5th BFG 33x10.5 mt for my spare. I figure it was the most practical choice.
Since its been winter here and I'm running little tires, and a little spare, I forgot I needed a fullsize winter spare. Plus I can add it into the rotation with the others. My wife works at the Jeep dealership, and they mod vehicles, so she got the tire at cost!
Thanks again for the input.

Hey I was looking into the ARB compressor also. I have the small one they make for my lockers now. But thought maybe I'd move up to their larger one so I could use it to air up as well. Then I wouldn't have to carry my Superflow MV-50 in the back of the Jeep. But everywhere I looked I could not find anyone that recommended the larger ARB compressor for tires. Have you guys found anyone using the larger unit regularly for airing up?
By the way good choice on having a good spare. The little compressor I am using the MV-50 works great and cost about 60.00. I have aired up faster with this thing then some guys with 250.00 units. So maybe you can check one out.
