So I am looking to spend in the $200 - $400 range. I have a few ideas, but was looking for some input from you guys on what would be a good choice w/ regards to function, and "doing the build right"
I have a 2005 6 speed with the following mods:
-front acos spacers, -rear 2"bb, and oem shocks -shock extensions -warn m8000 -warn oil pan and steering box skids -jks quicker discos -jks bmml and 1.25" bl -upgraded steering stabilizer -hidden hitch 2" tow hitch -uniden cb radio -advance adapters t-case shifter bracket -rubicon flares (to be installed later) -33x10.5 bfg mt's on stock rims
I think that's it.
Some of my ideas were:
-jks front adjustable trackbar -adjustable rear swaybar end links -OME shocks -rear bumper with 2" receiver built in for clearance -tummy tuck (but I think I need a new driveshaft). -black KMC enduro rims ( which I can get a really good deal on(they were ordered for someone by mistake)
Any other ideas would be great.....ask me any questions you need.
Thanks

you could get some body armor, crusher corners, and the like, upgrade lighting system or get rock lights, Air intake, hilift, tools, on board air system, heated seat inserts, cb, softtop window storage, front part of a real trail cage, Just some thoughts s

You've got to have a way to air those tires up @ the end of the ride. I say get an OBA kit. I know that VIAR has the all in one box kits ranging from $299-$429. There is a 100% duty cycle kit (best if you plan on running any tools) that i've been eying up, but bills will be eating up my bonus this quarter. like someone here said once...my Jeep is always about $2000 from being done

I would look into rock rails, body armor, and I agree with some form of on bord air, what about some recovery equ to go with the winch, tree savors, snatch blocks, winch rope, Just a few ideas

I was thinking tools and recovery gear...
Get a snatch block for the winch, a tree strap and a shackle (about $100)
Then... With the other $300, get yourself a CO2 tank, or a nice onboard air like the Viair one mentioned above. The 100% duty cycle compressor is the 450C... I've been thinking about getting that kit too, and then plumbing an air chuck through my front grill, and one at the rear of the Jeep too. Easy airing up, front and rear....That would be sweet!!!

Some sort of body armor. If you don't want to drill into the side to mount it, Olympic has a couple of bolt ons that are pretty good, with rails, without and a reverse-a-bar. Not into that , on board air and some good tire deflators. Have fun, DANG!

Thanks guys....I should mention, I have a hi-lift, a small (really small) portable compressor, as well as a sntchblock, straps, tree savers, d-rings, etc.
Warn is coming out with a new line of portable compressors, and since I work at a motorsports (atv's motocyles) dealership I'll be able to get a unti for cost once our supplier starts carrying them.
Also, I have someone who is going to build me a set of rocker guards with a tube step this spring as well.
Keep the ideas coming!!!!

Knowing that, I'd look at a front roll cage...so that windshield can come down! Snorkels are definietly an eye catcher... Maybe a Cat back system to free up some more power?

I'll be the Debby Downer of the bunch and say save it. With the economy the way it is and tax refunds just around the corner, save it until you have more money to play with. I have seen a lot of people that nickel-and-dime their upgrades rather than saving up for some bigger mods.
I guess I wait until there is something I really want/need rather than spending money because I have it.
Ok, sorry to bring everyone down. Now if I were you, since you want to spend the money anyway and you already have the body lift, I would do a tummy tuck - they look nice and are probably the biggest bang for your buck at this point.

OK, so saving is a good option, but basically its my birthday present from my wife, which every year I pick out and its a something for the Jeep. Last year was the BMML, and BL.
I would LOVE to do the tummy tuck, but don't I need a longer driveshaft or some sort of SYE???

I would LOVE to do the tummy tuck, but don't I need a longer driveshaft or some sort of SYE??? I'm not sure about longer, but definitely a sye and cv shaft are a must with the tummy tuck. Here's a few shots of a pal of mine who did a tummy tucl/belly up had to go with the sye Granted it's a TJ, but the driveshafts aren't that much longer to offset the angle after the tummy tuck before: After: a lot of clearance.

I have a Nth Degree tummy tuck. It's a great mod. High centering on the LJ is always a problem. I did not need any driveshaft work with my Old Man Emu 2 1/2" lift.

I would LOVE to do the tummy tuck, but don't I need a longer driveshaft or some sort of SYE??? I'm not sure about longer, but definitely a sye and cv shaft are a must with the tummy tuck. That's true for the TJ, but not necessarily with an LJ. It comes down to math - if you are running a 2" BB and 1.25" BL, it is very similar to having a 3" suspension lift. This would most likely require sye/cv on a TJ, but not on an LJ. Now if you are lifting the trans/transfer case more, then it gets added to the equation. I have heard some people say they have done 4" suspension lifts on the LJ without problems. I also have heard that some people have done tummy tucks without them either (like Moneypit That being said, everybody's experience is different. I think the rear drive shaft is considerably longer in the LJ, but is it enough? Not sure - I haven't done all the research to know if you will get wobble or not. It also depends on the hardware you select - depending on the depth of the mounts and such. Unfortunately most manufacturers just provide TJ specs/instructions and say that a SYE/CV is required.

This is getting interesting. Moneypit....did you have any vibe issues with the TT? Can you post a few pictures of the setup under the Jeep if possible. I guess you could always space it down with washers if necessary...it would still be higher. I think belfast may be right. basically I have a 2" suspension lift, which, if combined with a 2" TT, would be a 4" lift. Am I correct? Just found this link and answered my own question. wunlimited.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=specs&action=display&thread=1152669376

I had no vibs at all from the TT. Plus I think you can't figure a BL into the tummy tuck equation. The BL will change nothing with the suspension. Her is the only pic I have handy of my TT. If you want any more let me know and I will shoot some. I will say if you are climbing over stuff all the time the TT is the way to go.
