Something like that would be sweet - reminds me of the old VW Eurovan / Vanagon with the pop-up campers. This is better since it isn't a permanent part of the vehicle, you can swap it out when not camping.
For some reason I think price is going to be a killer on this deal though... camping is a hobby for me, so a $150 tent is sufficient.

I'm sure that AEV will add a hefty price tag to this, as they add $$$$ to do their "normal" conversion. Granted, all your mods are done when you take delivery of the vehicle, and it's rolled up in the total price, allowing you to finance the lift/wheels/tires/winch witht the total cost. But I was thinking that if you were good with fiberglass, you could probably make one of these 'pop-ups' for an LJ for a few hundred dollars. Then no more worrying about finding a soft spot to put your tent. Then again, I'd have to buy a hardtop first. I came across this site, an aftermarket hard top for the LJ's with- get this- rear side sliding windows with screen

Could you imagine that thing when a strong storm blows through? I don't know about putting a sail on top of an already top heavy Jeep. Looks cool though.
If I had the money for a pop up tent, I think I would go for one of those custom Tent trax.

That after-market hardtop with sliding windows is nice. I could go for something like that. Would cure that claustrophobic feeling some get in back of the Jeep.

I like the pop up and the slide windows would be sweet on that 2 piece.
What I would like to see is a one piece full length hard top, with removable side and rear panels. If it were hinged on the rear corners, it could slide off of the back and fold for storage, but 3 removable panels would be more managable.
