I was wondering if did let say change my mind about my lift and wanted to go back to stock or go down to a 2" lift from my 3" lift would that be possible. I think my FT lift was a complete bolt on kit so there was no drilling done to the jeep. I still have all my stock suspension parts let over form when i got my lift installed.

You can always go back...
But, you'll have to put your rear track bar back in the original hole, and possibly the front one as well, if a new hole was drilled. Your shocks from the lift may be a little long for stock suspension, and your tires (obvious one) may not fit.
I think if you went down, you'd be dissappointed...unless maybe if you went to say a 2" OME lift.

Ya i was thinking about going down to a 2" ome lift, 3" is not bad but i thinking if it was to much for the kind wheeling i do and its like im going to spend more money for a different lift when i should have gone with the 2".

Like nwquadriders said you can always go back to stock. I could return mine back to stock but the front trac bar mount would be the only pain.
You have the FT 3" right? Why do you want to switch? You can leave all of the arms and suck, and swap in 2" HD OME Springs.. and maybe some shocks too. Or stock springs and spacers, that would be a factory like ride!
Anyway, just let us know what you do..

Take out the springs and put your stock springs with 2" spacers (BB) and than just have it realigned shocks should not be a problem. some people do a BB without changing shocks and if you are not doing any serious offloading you can keep the shocks or put the stock ones on.

I have no problems with the lift just wanted to drop it an inch cause i don't wheel the jeep to hard. So i keep the FT track bar and the bump stops, shocks, and i would be fine just only get it realigned. Im not missing anything here it would be that easy to go back to stock.

I have no problems with the lift just wanted to drop it an inch cause i don't wheel the jeep to hard. Can I ask the question then.... If the only problem is that you don't wheel it so hard, why spend the extra time and extra $$$ to drop it and have another alignment done. (assuming that you won't be doing the alignment on your own) I guess that if it's working right now, then why "fix" it?

You've got a good lift, stay with it. If anything spend the money on some type of engine up grade.

Now that we've talked you off the ledge... Consider taking a step back and thinking about the things that would add enjoyment to your outings. A big ticket item for us was onboard air. Regardless of trail, we always aired down and disconnected the swaybar. Initially, we had an electric compressor that worked OK, but later upgraded to a York-driven system. The ability to air-up tires, along with a tire repair kit, means that you'll rarely have to take a flat tire off the vehicle. Another nice convenience is an inverter. We flush mounted a couple plugs on the dash and now have AC power to power small items. It has enough juice to power my Magic Bullet, so I can make frozen drinks on the trail. A popular item in Arizona. Perhaps storage is an issue. There are tons of clever options there. Or maybe you'd like to plug in your Ipod, or install heated seats. Jeeps provide a rare sense of adventure every time you drive. Think about ways to increase that enjoyment and get more therapy out of your investment. You deserve it.

My wife and I both miss the heated seats on her WJ. We both kind of joke about putting them in her XJ...but I think that we should probably just get a remote start instead.

Magic Baby yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I agree, you should get something that'll bring even more enjoyment out of wheeling, for me alittle more power or go up some on the gears would make it. Find out what you need or like and spend the cash on that.

You know I read that and I thought wth. Then I read on and it talked about drinks so I thought maybe I was thinking of something else. I guess not though. Lol.
