Hi! I have an '05 Unlimited Rubicon Light Khaki Metallic...I am planning on doing the RE 2" BB and JKS 1.25" BL with 255/85R16 BFG Mud Terrains on my stock Rubi wheels...I was wondering if anyone knew the best place to get these lifts at the lowest price?? I was wondering what other mods I should go with...I am probably going to make my own side rails/steps and rear bumper/swingout tire carrier....any ideas? Any other Unlimited Rubicon owners out there?? Thanks!

Try DPG offroad for lifts. I know a lot of folks that have gotten their lift kits from him and he usually gives a good deal. His name is Dirk. My husband got his lift from him.

I've never had a BB, but a lot of guys talk about the Rubicon Express BB. It comes with RE shocks, but some places offer a shock upgrade for extra cash (about 100 or so) to the OME shocks (old man emu).
I think that's how you spell them.

The upgrade that is recommended is to get the OME shocks. I think that if your going to do it and are willing to spend a little (Ok twice) more go with the OME 2.5". From what I hear it is the cats meow and will actually increase the ride comfort. I am going on the cheap and going with teh rough country BB, BL and M.O.R.E. MML so I can fit my 32's. It will be an easy turn over whenI do upgrade to the 3T or RE 3.5". Oh BTW... I am in NY/NJ  Seems like no one talks much on this forum...where is everyone?! haha ;D |
