I finally got off my lazy butt and took a couple pictures of the Bestop half doors and new KOZ Offroad rear bumper. I also painted my fender flares.

Are you still using the stock tire carrier for the rear? 33's are pretty heavy for a stock carrier ( I would think anyway). What was the cost of the rear bumper from KOZ? Thanks, Gabe

I have the Bestop carrier. I've seen what 33's do to the stock carrier and it's not pretty. The bumper was $249 on sale. I've notice they've upped to something like $299 since then. Still a pretty good deal.

Your Jeep looks great! I am considering going ahead and getting the 3.5" Rubicon Express lift and 285OR75x16 SSR's for my Unlimited Rubicon sometime this summer...I'm gonna have to get the spare tire carrier like yours, I like it!

hey Tree, it looks great. Kind off topic but how does your rig run with the 33's? She runs like she was meant to have 33's. I've driven two Unlimited's with 33's, mine and one at the dealer that had Procomps. The wife thinks the ride is better with the lift and bigger meats. I don't know if its smoother, but it looks and handles better, IMO. Stepping up to the 35's would require some gear work, so 33's are certainly the upper limit for stock gears.

Tim Nice, Very Nice LJ. Hey why didn't you go with the wrap around rear corners from KOZ? That's the same bumper I went with only I did the wrap around design, 1 1/2 inches shorter than the one on his site. (James was great to me on the phone)
I also did it as a swing out with hi lift and 3rd brake light, but the swing out isn't on, only the bumper for now. (no time to install)
It did it's job last month when I wheeled the LJ stock and scraped and bounced off a few rocks with it. Boy is this bumper beefy.

I guess I didn't do the wraparound bumper because I didn't notice it on their website. Probably just not paying attention. What I was most interested in was the towing and the clevis tabs. We'll be running through some canyons tomorrow so I may get a chance to put a couple scratches on it.
The one big mistake we've made with this vehicle is getting the Bestop tire carrier right off the bat. It's a great carrier, but now I'm looking for ways to mount gerry cans and my options are very limited since I already have the carrier. I'm leaning towards a custom fab job that fastens to the swing out Bestop carrier.

did the doors fit right up or did you have to adjust them? looks great - sorry for the delay in response, i didn't even see the thread The doors come with an adjustment up front to tweak the angle. It's just two small nuts, and very easy. They rattle a little in the wind when I'm driving fast, but a wine cork takes care of that. The best part is how little space they take up in the back when I take them off. I just slide them under the dog blankets and we forget they're back there.
