Howdy from Texas, I have an '04 Unlimited and I am looking at a lift with bigger tires and have a question regarding the Rubicon edition.
Does anyone know what the tire size and the lift height of the stock Rubi?
FWIW, my wife is vertically challenged and she is buying into the idea of a lift as long as it doesn't exceed the Rubi's total 'step-in' height.
Thanks,

I could be wrong (so someone please correct me if I am), but I thought the spring systems were the same as the regular unlimited, but the difference in tires were that the Rubi came with 31's rather than the 30's, and they are on a 16 inch wheel.
Of course there are the different diffs and axles, but as far as the wheels go, I thought that was the difference.

Thank you for the reply Jack.
I looked at the specs at edmunds.com(after I posted here) and found the following:
Unlimited Height=70.9" & rims are 15" Unlimited Rubi Height=71.8 " & rims are 16"
When the two vehicles were side by side, at the dealer, their difference(in hood height) was only an inch or two.
Much appreciated,

I'm pretty sure that the Rubicon springs are about an inch longer. Lots of guys have updated non-rubicon TJ models by throwing on a used set of stock Rubicon springs. They usually see about 3/4 to 1 inch of lift from that.
I put a 2" Rubicon Express budget boost (spacers) on my Unlimited and 31" tires. Now when I park next to a Rubicon at a dealer I sit about 1" taller than it. If you want to stay close to the height of a rubicon then go with a 2" to 2.5" lift (spacers or new springs) and throw on some aggressive 31's.
There's my 2-cents!!!

I cross referenced the numbers from an swb rubi with the springs from my 04 LWb and they were the same so I beleieve they are the same springs. The LWB can handle the 31's just as well as the Rubi.

What about the numbers for the LWB Rubicon?? I'm thinking with the extra weight that they may have had to beef them up a bit...just curious???

I think the reason they went with the same springs as the Rubis is the weight factor. I will look at the Spring Tag when i get home and post the number. It is the blue tag on the spring.

The suspension is different between a Unlimited Sport and Unlimited Rubicon, all Rubicons have stiffer springs and the ride height is a bit higher. You can tell the difference in the suspension simply by driving one, and if you look at the two, the tires make some difference but the suspension does make the Rubicon a bit taller, but not real noticeable. The 31x10.5 Wrangler M/T's on Rubicons will actually be really close to rubbing on a sport so that is another way to see that the suspension is just a bit taller.

Ok will someone with a RubiUnlimited check out the number on the springs? I will check when I get home. Mine is a soft top so that might make a difference but I will post it when I get home.

Could someone with a Rubi Unlimited check their spring tags on their front springs??
I'm considering buying a set of Rubi Unlimited springs to make up for the sag I'm going to get after I install my winch next week.
The spring tag on "sport" Unlimiteds is: 52088129AB (in the small print) or just 129AB in the big print. This only takes about a minute to check. I'd really appreciate someone taking a look. OEM Jeep Springs are much cheaper, about $40 apiece, which is much cheaper than buying from somewhere else.
Thanks, Chad

Installed the winch last night. The sag in the front was about 3/16 of an inch...no big deal. We'll just have to wait and see if they settle any more. I'm going to leave things as is for now.
