Hi guys. I am thinking about buying an 04 Unlimited and want to know if the stock 04 Rubi wheels will fit? I don't want to ask my dealer because I might want them in the deal if they fit. Thanks, Mike

Do you mean the 33" tires on rubi wheels?

No I meant the 31's on the stock 16 in Rubi wheels. Thanks for asking. Mike ;D

You can fit 31's under a stock Wrangler without lifting it, and as far as I know they have the same bolt pattern. Just my opinion, but I think the Unlimited wheels look better. I figure to put a larger tire on the stock wheel when the time comes.

Hey thanks I like the Unlimited wheels better too, BUT the Rubi's are 16in. That is why I thought I could get 2 in. by just adding the tires. Thanks again, Mike

If you're thinking the dealer will trade out the Rubi wheels with the Unlimited wheels, they won't. They will fit, but they will rub if you ever take it off road if you don't have some kind of lift. Also if you ever try to get bigger tires you'll have to get spacers because the backspacing is different.
This coming from my husband owning an 04 Rubicon and myself owning an 04 Unlimited.
As for bigger tires....I have 33" on mine with a 2" BB and that's it. I don't have any rub at all. If you go with the Rubi wheels, tires will be more expensive in the future VS the 15" wheels.

I love your Lic. Plate. Thanks for the advice. I think you are right. How much for the 2in. BB. I won't be doing anything hardcore. Mostly sand and a few rocks. Thanks again, Mike Cross your fingers the judge will let me trade my truck (99F350) for an 04 Unlimited. DIVORCE enough said.... Peace be with you.......

Good luck getting your Unlimited. My husband said go to www.jeepsunlimited.com under the for sale section and you can usually find the Budget boost for around $50-60. I think I paid $60 for mine shipped. It gives you enough clearance to put 33's on without having to spend the money on a lift. I plan on eventually putting a lift on mine but not right now. You might notice though when you put the BB on, your ride will be rougher, especially in the rear end but if you want to stay on the cheap side some OME shocks will fix that problem. It's nothing bad but you'll notice your ride is just a little rougher, especially if your going with bigger tires. I sold my Unlimited wheels and tires for $500 and got black rock crawlers and 33" Dunlop Mud terrains used but plan on putting 33" BFG mud terrains on there in the next month or two. My husband has the BFG's on his Rubi and they are awesome. Eventually I'll have to get a tire carrier too as the bigger tires will make your tail gate sag after carrying all that weight from the tire, but nothing to worry about now.
