Got a SIRIUS sportster model for Christmas last year. ITS AWESOME! No pics of the install, but I used the flat spot on the dash, where the ashtrays used to be, as the mounting point. 7 months later and I have had no problems with the adhesive holding. Which kind did you get? a buddy of mine has XM and we both swear that each of ours is the best. I guess it really doesn't matter at the end of it.

With the unit on the 'ashtray' part, I plugged the power into the switched power port (keeps it from getting power except when the Jeep is running. Then I ran the antenna wire up under the dash by opening the glove box all the way (it actually comes out for more room to move.
From that point, I ran it out the door, and around the window with the wire in the groove of the window joint. the small 'reciever' on the antenna wire has a magnet in it and it just sits on my hood.
The wire sits in body and window grooves, so it is almost unnoticable.
Only thing about the mounding point is that it makes tight access to the gear selector when in park. Outside of that, its perfect. I can rest my hand on the selector, and reach the buttons on the radio.

Good to hear, I'll try that out and see how it works. I also saw some pics of a guy who mounted his antenna right on top off his rollbar underneath the padding and said he has no problems even with a hardtop on. I should be getting my unit on Monday so we'll see how it goes. Thanks.

I bought the Delphi XM2go MyFi and love it! I'm sitting here listening to it right now in my study. I've walked with it, jogged with it, bike road with it, and of course it goes in my Jeep when I drive. Mine is also mounted on the flat spot where the ash tray would go. Seems to be a pretty good spot as it's mounted with the adhesive. My antenna is in the back along the edge of the tailgate (my top is off for the summer) and I just ran the wire along the edge of the Jeep where the hardtop mounts and it hides under the carpet all the way and under the passenger seat and console. I've had people ask, "Where's your antenna?" You really can't see the wire at all. I'll try and post a picture of it sometime Saturday. I'm not sure what I'll do when I get the hardtop on, I might be asking you! I'm sure you'll like Sirius. I only chose XM because of the nice sports package (Major League Baseball and ACC, Big Ten and Pac Ten college football/basketball). But Sirius has Pro Football! By the way, if there are any XM users out there here is a pretty good forum: www.xmfan.com/ Ridge

Nice, is that the unit that can record up to 5 hours? Sounds like a good idea going to the tailgate with the antenna. With a soft top on I'm sure there would be room to sneak the wire underneath the rear window somehow. No top all summer huh? what do you do when it rains?
That would be great if you would be able to post some pics. Thanks for your help.

Yes, it is the unit that can record up to 5 hours. As for the top, we don't get much rain in the summer. I probably won't put the hardtop back on until October. I do have a bikini top which helps. As for posting pictures of my satellite radio setup, I'm not sure how to go about it. I have the pics but how do I post them to this forum? I'd be happy to email them if anyone wants.

The antenna/receiver is mounted on top of the roll-bar, drivers side, and comes with an "extra" pc. of roll bar padding to cover it. Seems fine for now BUT, I could see myself pitching myself into a tree or something and ripping it right off. Before I hit the trails with the hardtop off, I'm going to need to address that. ryan
