Cold Idle

I just noticed that when I start my Unlimited on a 30 deg or so morning, that on the initial idle, there is a definate either engine surge, or sound of cooling fan turning off and on repeatidly until the engine warms up, then it disappears.

Normal?

Don't know if this helps much. You're a little colder than we are in GA, but we had our first 33 degree morning today and I did not notice any difference in engine performance.
