i just got my saturn vue. a beauty. was able to work a deal on the unlimited. the wrangler unlimited was not for me. a great jeep but i wanted a more economical vehicle and the saturn is definitely more economical. it rides great too. enjoy your jeep wrangler unlimiteds everyone. they are fun vehicles to own and i wish everyone the best. ill definitely enjoy the great gas mileage. sticker says 24 city 29 highway... hee haw!!!! it definitely beats 8mpg city and 12 highway. i definitely wont miss that. its not a 4x4 but it is a 4cyl fwd model. works fine for me. like i said, the jeep wrangler unlimited was beautiful but not practical to me. needed something that was better on gas.

my salesman gave me a pretty good price on the unlimited too. he too said all jeeps were gas hogs. he said he traded a 2004 grand cherokee last night because the customer was complaining he was only getting 12 mpg on the darn thing. he too bought a saturn vue as well last night. jeeps are great, im still a fan, but they eat up gas bigtime. the 4.0 liter engine is a great engine but it sucks up gas bigtime. doesnt mean they are not great vehicles, they are, however, i wanted something more economical . it drives excellent as well.

Aren't you the guy that complained how ugly Unlimiteds were? How they weren't "sporty" enough? Is there a duller, more mundane vehicle than the Vue? I hope the Vue people can find some entertainment in your constant whining.
For the record - I drive with my foot to the floor most of the time, and my Wrangler gets 16 mpg.

What I find funny is that you took the salesman word again.
Did you research your new purchase, doesn't seem like it.
The wrangler sticker says 16 city and 19 highway for gas mileage, but you were only getting 8.
What makes you so sure the Vue will get what the manufacturer states?
I can't wait until you get stuck, and someone in an unlimited passes you by.
The salespeople in your area must be able sto talk you into anything,
This is my final response to any thread in which Rich bashes the Unlimited.
I am boycotting Rich......Anyone with me???

Some people are nasty...but it is clear that you, RICH, are here just to "stir the pot".
Good luck with your new car...but always remember that with every payment you make, a portion of that will still be going towards all the money you lost on your trade-in. 6 months from now when the folks on the Saturn Vue forums start laying into you, you can always trade that in for that Vespa I was talking about earlier.
Once again...a topic started by Rich has outlived it's usefullness....I will leave it up for people to read, but any more of these junk topics will just be deleted.
