My Cepek FC II's are getting worn pretty good and I'll have to get some new tires soon. I really liked the Cepek's but had a few flats, one being a sidewall blowout while driving down the Interstate. Have to admit, most of my driving is on pavement, but I still need an aggressive tread for snow and the occasional off road driving. Any new technology out there in the tire business? I always see a lot of the same tires in the Jeep catalogs and was wondering if there is anything new that has recently hit the market from the tire manufacturers.
I realize I might not see an answer to this post, since many have bailed on this site. But I'll keep checking back every once in awhile. Thanks!

They're not as aggressive as you may be interested in, but the BFG ATA's are great tires. They wear really well on the pavement and are as quiet as the stock street tires. I can vouch that they do well in the snow and thicker mud. They are just OK on ice or slick mud. I've never got stuck in anything that people with more aggressive tires didn't have issues with as well - but I did play it on the safe side in deep or slick mud.
I just came to the realization that when you are on the pavement a majority of the time, the All Terrains make more sense - they are great tires.
I have heard good things about the BFG Mud Terrains too, but those are a softer tire and will wear more on the pavement.

Thanks Befast, I'll look into those. Probably won't buy for another two months, hoping to get tax money back to help pay for them.

I ran the BFG TA's for years on my trucks and Jeep - I love them. You can not go wrong with those tires in my opinion. Last summer when the Jeep needed new tires I tried something different just to see how they did - {mostly because I was broke and the price was cheap} - I got the Goodyear Wrangler Authority AT's from Walmart - so far they have been perfect - great in the sand and dirt, and outstanding in all of that deep snow we had here in the Mid-Atlantic this winter. I haven't been in the nasty mud much but have to beleive they would do good there. The only problem is I'm not sure if they come in 33's - I ran 32" BFG's on mine with a two inch BB but they did rub some - so moving to the 31's made sense {did I mention the cheaper price? }
