Congrats!!! My Jeep finally got a standard (non-locking) gas cap. I think I wanted one of those more than anything else...I got tired of having to show the gas station boys how to unluck the cap (because they couldn't read the instructions on the cap).... It'd be a different story if I lived anywhere other than Oregon...but they still don't let us pump our own gas here. Also got a nice new set of sockets to throw in my Jeep "Trail Tool Box"

My wife got me IPF headlamps and Fatboy bulbs. I got her a heated seat kit for the shotgun seat. I got the headlights in this afternoon, and took it out to line them up. WOW!!! What a nice, full, field of view with the low beams, and the high beams light up everything.
Since I drive into work in the dark about half the year, these will really be nice.

I put in the IPF headlights about a month ago. I just used the standard 55/60 watt bulbs because I didn't want to upgrade the wiring. Those things are WAY bright. I can't imagine what those Fatboys must be like. As for the Jeeps Christmas gifts. It got XM radio, a Warn snatch block and some Jeep hats. The hats are really for me but the Jeep doesn't know that.

I'm curious. Is a snatch block for the jeep the same as a sailing snatch block? Do you use them to multiply the power of the winch?

I would not recommend using the sail snatch blocks for the winch, yes they are both used for multiplying the line pull weight or change of direction for the winch. I have seen others try to use different snatch blocks and they would not hold up to the abuse and when they brake it could cause some major damage . I would stick to ARB, Warn, etc... for my snatch blocks Just my .05 cents worth ;D

Thanks, I was just asking if they were the same type of block. I've had situations before, where folks are using the same terminology for different stuff. But, I looked up Warn and agree, I'd use the Warns.
My boat snatch blocks could hardly be called small, though. They're rated for a 15,000 lb working load. But, no way would I risk them on a cable, as opposed to the line they normally run. Plus, they never leave the boat and since they're a mite costly, get taken care of quite well.
cheers.
