Was the top new or used? Did you get the door surrounds as well? Make sure the are the Unlimited surrounds with a little clip at the top for the "sunrider" top. If this doesn't make any sense - post more questions! Most of the instructions are in the owners manual (no matter what top came from the factory, the manual covers all of them). It is actually quite easy. If you don't have a manual or don't have one handy, you can download the PDF version from the Jeep website "owners section" - start around page 108. Basically, if you unzip the roll-bar covers on the uprights just behind the front seats, you will find a spot to mount the brackets - it will be just about shoulder height if someone was sitting in the seat. Here's a pic I posted a while back, not sure how much of a help it will be, its not the best pic. The owners manual helps a little too. Once the bracket is on, the soft top mounts to the brackets at a single point on each bracket (the manual will show 2, that is for the short wheel base TJ's). If the top has never been used, you will have to screw on the header - this was covered in a single page instruction sheet that was inside the folded soft top. Hopefully you got this with the top if necessary. Does your Jeep have little brackets above each corner of the tailgate? If not, you will need to mount those (hopefully you got those with the kit). This is where the rear window hooks in to. I've only had experience with TJ's with soft or dual tops, so I don't know if these come on hard-top only rigs. One big hint - only attempt to put the soft top on when it is warm / sunny. A cold soft top is much more difficult to stretch in to place and will cause a lot of frustration.

thanks for the info. The pics really helped. I got the top on EBAY fo $500.00 off a 2004 with the Door surrounds, roll bar brackets and back window brackets. The back window brackets were my main concern, but I found that my jeep actually has the spots for the holes marked already. I should've got the Dual top Option but this was the last new 2006 on the lot when I bought it..in 2007 lol. Been waiting 2 years to put a soft top on it. Jamie

You'll enjoy the soft top this summer. The sunrider option is nice on days when theres a chance of rain and times when you dont have time to take down the entire top.
