Good to see that the board is coming alive again. May Wranglerunlimited.com rise again like Britney Spears!
Wondering if anyone has had this problem before: Whenever I start braking at speeds over 45 MPH, the front end will begin to apply the brakes until I get under 20 MPH or so. It doesn't do it when I am driving (not all the time anyway).
I went to regrease the tie rods and steering stabilizer and the left one doesn't seem to be holding the grease very well. One pump and it was spitting it back out. Looks collapsed too.
Whaddaya think?

Tie rod end could be shot...
Also could be loose control arms, bad ball joints, even a warped brake rotor. I haven't had that problem before, but ANYTHING loose up front could cause this to happen... The fact that it is related to speed makes me think it could be a warped rotor...might be worth having it looked at. We've got places here that will do free brake inspections...not sure about your side of the country, but it's worth a shot.

If the shaking starts when you apply the brakes , I say warped rotor. I've had that happen on several vehicles. Most new car rotors are crap. Having them cut, even the first time takes them to thin. Then the first panic stop puts you back where you started. Get some good after market ones. I did the EBC rotors and pads. They work much better then stock but still not good enough when I pull my camper. This spring I may look into an upgrade. If I remember right they are made by Vanco. Double piston, super HD. If the shake is just driving around also check your front trackbar is tight. Jack the front end up enough to get the wheels off the ground and give the tires a good top to bottom shake. See if there is any movement. Bad Ball joints will show up that way.
