Replacing thermostat - do I need a gasket?

I have read up on a few how-to sites on replacing the thermostat in a '02 or older TJ and it mentions a gasket. When I search anywhere on the net, I can't find a gasket for '03 or newer. Anybody replaced theirs and know if one is needed and if so where I can get one?

O'reilly part number 2160 (99 cents), this is the one for my 06, yours might be slightly different. Not sure if the following link will work:
