There was a thread a while back about removing the BB bumpstops.
I recently added a winch, and since it has sagged, I often find that I am hitting the bumpstops much more than normal. I am planning to get the acos spacers in the spring, but want to remove my bumpstops for the winter.
Has anyone actually done this? If so, what were the results???

I don't know if it's adviseable to remove the bumpstop altogether. But you just pry off the rubber bumper on the end and there is a bolt up inside to remove the whole thing. I used the Acos just for that reason. You have to take out the spring to remove the bumpstop. I only wanted to take it apart once so I did the Acos at that time.

The RE 2" BB came with bumpstop EXTENSIONS.... they are way too long. I'm hitting mine all the time. I was going to cut down the extensions about an inch and see how that helps....I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
The guy at the local 4x4 shop told me not to put them in at all...but I was stubborn and now I'm hitting them all the time off road.

Thanks everyone. I think I will try cutting them down before I take the time to unbolt everything, and remove them
