So Uncle Sam is going to send me a welfare check this May and I think it is time for new tires. (For the good of America, I will spend this money.) I currently have Procomp 33 x 12.5 Xterrain tires. I got them for free and I would never spend the money for them again. They suck in the rain, terrible on pavement and uber loud. On top of that, they are very soft and now I need some new ones. My questions are: 1. I have Outlaw II American racing wheels. 10" wide with a 3.75 back spacing. I think I want to drop down to 31" x 10.5 tires. Are my wheels still going to fit? Am I going to look like a little gang banger with the tires sticking out too wide? 2. Thinking about going with something from Big O. I want a nice radial tire without an aggressive tread b/c the next place I live is going to have me commuting quite a bit. I need something better on the road and I swear those Procomp tires are drinking gas right now as it is just sitting in the parking lot. Would a Big O brand work? I don't think I am going to see much if any rock crawling days in the near future. Thanks in advance. Glad the site is back up. That was scary.

I don't think I would put 10.5 tires on 10" rims. You should run 8" with a 10.5 tire. Also 31's will look dinking with your setup. I have a set of BFG/AT 32x11.5 with about your same lift and backspacing. They work great. Quiet on the road and still have a Jeep look. My next set of tires will be 33 x 10.5. My son in law just got a set of Cooper STT to go with his lift. That is a perfect setup in my opinion.

This is my Jeep on 31x10.50-15 and 4" lift. Go with the 32's. How do you like your wheels? I got the Discount MB wheel which I found out is the same thing as the AR just under a different name. Really like the look of these wheels.
