Well---- Took the windows out, drove around for 2 hours, big thunderstorm, glad I had the cloverleaf window roll, put the windows back in. Spring break vacation in the morning, hard top back on, it was 20 here this morning, but at least the homemade winch got the hard top back on with the wifes help. Trying to learn how to program the GPS, will give a report after I get back home, later all.

I NEED A SOFT TOP..CRY CRY CRY al KA1FFO I didn't know not having a soft top was an option. When I was looking for mine all the ones I saw had either a soft top or both - none had just the hard top.

I have just a hard top because I carry lots of tools for work. I bought a tool box and can usually get by with my safari top.

When I bought mine there were no Dual tops on the lot. Mine was dealer traded for and they didn't have any either. Mine is an 04 so maybe they only cane one way or the other.

As far as the dual tops go I know it is up to the dealer as to how he orders the Jeeps. I had a role in ordering the LJ I picked up, and for 05 you could have a soft only top, a hard top, or both as an option. If I remember right it was about a 1,100 dollar option for both tops. I hope this helped for my .005 cents

From what I can remember, the '04's came with EITHER hard or soft. '05 introduced the dual top option, so you had 3 choices, either soft, hard, or both.
I can't wait for spring to get the soft top back on. We were up to 65 last weekend and driving with the windows down just wasn't as satisfying. Plus the UPS man just dropped off my Bestop soft doors - I am itching to put them on and try them out.

on the door nuts = I picked up a CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP wrench set at pep boys or something. the wrenches are off in the measurements just enough to have a perfect snug fit. also, a garage sale wrench ground to fit would work good too (My nuts are chipped from before this though, so oh well).
I'm dying to go softy, but looks like I may have to wait til april, we just had some snow here in chicago
