I'm over in Chesapeake, soon to be Virginia Beach. With these threads we could plan localized meets / install parties / trips etc etc I'd Love to plan out a trip to Chincoteague/Assateague on the Eastern shore for this Fall, what do you guys say? It would be kindof involved; camping, permits, etc.. but I imagine brewskies on a beach with a fire & the Jeeps all lined up ~ oh ya!!

I would be in for something like that, and if you wanted to plan a run and camping up to GWNF I could help set something like that up .

Ya, I can't wait to do that trip, although I hear the skeeters are like biplanes so the time of year we do it ill matter if we make it a camping trip

Also in a place like this, you don't have to worry about hitting any deer, just horses!

VALJRubicon,
I've been thinking about getting out to the GWNF this spring (or late winter) to do some light offroading. Do you have any suggestions for stock setup 2005 with 31" tires? I have been trying to get the wife to buy off on some mods here and there, and this just might encourage her to let me do a lift/33's/winch/bumpers/etc!
I live in Ivor (on Rte 460 between Suffolk and Petersburg) in farm country. About all we have is some mud if you can get the local hunt clubs to give you permission to ride their land. There's really no more public mudding to be had.

I am a Virginian gone west. So.. California desert, you guys make it this far you've got a place to stay for some wheeling. Sure do miss the green and the trees.
