Well, now that Shrillary is making a come back this primary thing may never end. Best I can say is she and Barack are spending a lot of time and money bashing each other. We should see it stepping up some more as well. Doesn't seem very much like "Change" to me. Mostly same old politics.

Most of the smear campaign is coming from Hillary. Though there have been a few rebuttals on the part of Obama's group. I was really hoping she'd do worse yesterday and finally concede... All she's doing is making the Democrat party look dumb...and wasting money. I really hope it doesn't come down to using the Super Delegates to make the decision. I'm voting Democrat regardless. This coming from a Disabled Veteran, gun owner, Jeeper, ATV rider, hunter, etc... This may make me "un-popular" with some folks... but, it is what it is.

This may make me "un-popular" with some folks... but, it is what it is. Popular or not, you're entitled to your opinion. I'm all for opinions, as long as they are shared in a respectful manner. That's what makes this board great. I don't recall too many flame wars here. And this topic could generate enough. Growing up, my parents insisted on teaching me to think independently and discuss things rationally & objectively. My father told me "Try and stay away from two topics.....Politics and Religion. Both topics will bring the worst out in people if pushed."

Growing up in a Republican household, I was raised to believe Hillary Clinton is one step away from the anti-Christ. There is still something about that toothy forced smile that runs chills up and down my spine. Gotta agree with tree that Obama looks so much more appealing standing next to her.
At any rate, I agree with sylvanis. No matter who wins the election, I hope whatever they do or the approach they take is a success for the country.

I was actually rooting for Hillary last Tuesday, hoping she'd get enough out of TX & OH to stay in the race. Mostly, I want Obama and HRC to continue clubbing each other right up to their convention. Then, I'd love to hear the rationale behind having the superdelegates decide the candidate. This from the "every vote should count" club.
For me, its pretty simple. I'll vote for the candidate that believes in strong national defense and leaves me the heck alone on everything else. I'll take care of myself and my family, so please stop taking my money away.
This race isn't very inspiring for me, but it certainly is good theatre at the moment.

This from the "every vote should count" club. I was thinking the same exact thing and I can't believe the press or some other pundit has not picked up on it! With all the griping about how Bush stole the election with the electoral vote and Gore winning the popular vote, it seems hypocritical and super ironic that a Democrat candidate would even fathom the idea of winning with the super delegates and not the popular vote.

There is a segment of the media that does talk about the "Super Delegates" making the decision at the convention. It's just not the main stream media. In the old days the media just came on the 6 o'clock news and read you what happened that day. Not how they "saw" it , or what their news analyst or media consultant thought about a certain subject. They just told the story. It was left up to the public to be smart enough to understand it. You never knew the political views of the anchors. since their opinions weren't part of the story. Not anymore. The media is just as biased in their positions as the political parties are. So everything is skewed. It takes a very interested person to find out what is really happening. I find it interesting how the same story is reported by both sides of the media. I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle. But it also seems that most people get their info on candidates just from the commercials. They never dig any deeper. I agree with Treeofliberty. Keep me safe and leave me alone. But with 65% of our national budget going to entitlement programs I believe we are in the minority. JFK is always talked about as one of our greatest Presidents. His famous quote "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" is only being followed by todays volunteer military. Not many others. If JFK was alive today he would be a Republican with that statement! Most of the public just wants the government to take care of them. When my parents were young that generation was embarrassed to get any Government assistance. It was only a last resort. Today it's just fine. We need to go back to the principles that made this country great in the first place. Otherwise we will go the way of the Romans.
