I have amassed a nice collection of stock jeep parts in my garage from my upgrades / repairs...what is it with old parts that make you not want to throw them out? I have held onto four used stock shocks for literally months. Maybe I will pitch them next week...

I have amassed a nice collection of stock jeep parts in my garage from my upgrades / repairs...what is it with old parts that make you not want to throw them out? I have held onto four used stock shocks for literally months. Maybe I will pitch them next week... I finally got tired of looking at some of my "take-off's" about a month ago and threw away the stock engine skid (replaced by skid-row), 3rd tail light, stock tire carrier, bumper end caps, sway bar cover, etc.... For some reason, I'm still hanging onto my stock lower control arms, coil springs, 2" RE BB, and Rancho RS5000 shocks for the BB. I think it's time for another "cleansing" Combine all the Jeep parts, with all of the stock parts from a couple of quads, and I've got quite the pile of cr@p built up.

I am a land surveyor, and I collect the little brass caps you see from time to time to let a surveyor know where he is!! The are actually illegal to remove, imprisonment for removal. I get them during new construction, and they are going to be destryed anyway. My wife thinks its weird, but most things surveyors do are weird. Standing outside all day in the blazing sun or a howling blizzard. Best job in the world!!

Oh Lord, collecting is a disease! I've got about 3,500 die cast cars, about half of those are Johnny Lightnings. I'm also very into trains, mostly HO, but due to my children, there's a nice size fleet of Lionel as well. Have some action figures, stationary figures and bobbles, but those are mostly to break up the monotony of all the cars. In my old house, I finished the basement with white perforated hardboard. I used 1/4" bolts, and basically wallpapered the place with carded Johnny Lightnings. In the new house I wanted a cleaner look, so I'm now collecting acrylic display cases to hold all of my toy cars. So far, I've got spaces for about 700 1/64 scale cars. I'm a sick, sick man.

Scrambler.
How big are the Lionel trains? I have some in a box from the early '50s and I was wondering if they were worth anything. They are made of steel I think because each weight about 2 lbs each.
