Some people truly are special - but why is it when I turn on the news I only hear a bunch of political posturing from Republicans and Democrats about some emails a horny old man sent?  This young man did about the bravest thing anyone could ever do, one of those things you thought was just an old Hollywood scene from the war movie years, and yet there is nothing on the nightly news about it....how sad for us. I feel strongly that reading stories like this makes me a better American. It reminds me how good I have things, and how much of that is because of the sacrifices of others. It's just a little bit harder to act selfishly knowing a young guy like this gave his life thousands of miles from home.
It also makes a crappy day seem a little less crappy, in comparison.
