OK, this is way off topic. For those of you in my situation... What songs do you blame for your less-than-perfect hearing?
I'll start.
1. Hell is for Children - Pat Benatar (my first love) 2. One - Metallica 3. My '69 big block Corvette

Summertime Blues- Blue Cheer Born to be Wild- Steppenwolf
And all the hours spent in the garage learning to play with my friends and the garage band that helped pay for college. I can remember comeing home from concerts and talking with the radio in the car on. Getting up the next morning to go to school or work and the radio being turned up so loud. Ears ringing the next day from sound pressure levels.

What song??? How about the blast of a turbojet engine as it is catapulted off of a carrier deck? That probably did most. Other than that I guess I'd have to say Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf, Jimi Hindrix, Janis Joplin among others played a part.

Rush, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, AC/DC, Molly Hatchet, most of the 80's hair bands - but the biggest factor -Judas Priest - I once had a friend tell me to pull over at the begining of "Breaking the Law" because the Alpine speakers in the back of my 1975 Camaro were blaring the sirens at ear splitting levels - he thought an officer was behind us.....

If it's going to be loud and it's in the jeep, just about anything by The Who while Keith Moon was still drumming, especially:
1. My Generation 2. Happy Jack (great drums, just forget the Hummer) 3. Baba O'Riley 4. Won't Get Fooled Again 5. I Can See for Miles
also Steely Dan's "Bodhisattva"

A lot of 70's - 80's stuff. Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Boston, Def Leppard. Which reminds me, if you ride in my Jeep I choose the music. And it's usually classic rock. Ridge

Lost my hearing in my left ear by yawning. now I have a song in my ear always..tinnitus. Love classic rock and the blues when cruising in the jeep on a road trip.

Ah, good ole tinnitus. Live with it 24 hrs. a day. Have it in my left ear. Were checking headsets at work and the guy on the other end dropped his headset and caused feedback. Thats what started my tinnitus. My daughter has tinnitus, some stupid suv soccer mom thought it would be funny to honk the horn as my daughter passed by. Now she has ( beeping ) as she calls it, in her left ear, pain and headaches. She's 11 now. Guess she'll have to live with it for the rest of her life thanks to that &%@$@^@&&*!^!&&*!*!&!&!* SOB. Classic rock, country, r&b, classical, etc. But I can't enjoy any of it at loud levels.

The song I always seemed to play the loudest was Deep Purple's "Burn". Man, I used to shake the walls with that one. Rainbow's "Mistreated" was another that couldn't be played below 10. But my hearing definitely suffered from those 10 Black Sabbath concerts, 8 or 9 Rainbow concerts, a couple of Kiss shows, Ted Nugent, Deep Purple and others.

I second Freedom. F-111s and F-16s took mine. I can't hear anything above 12khz.
After that, anything from Boston's first two albums.

Backstreet Boys Insink Yani Ha! I couldn't resist. Luckily my hearing is still good, it has to be for my job. As far as music goes... I still listen to Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Chili Peppers, Rage..., Sublime, Black Crowes, Tool and the more recent stuff-Chevelle, Filter, Nickelback, Velvet Revolver, Lincoln Park. Limp Bizkit, etc. The louder the better.
