I was at my local 4wd shop yesterday and was talking to the owner. They are getting ready to do a 100K Unlimited for a guy out west. Hemi engine. long arm kit , 60 axles, the best of everything. He said there will be an open house when it's done. I got to go see this thing when he finishes it. My little LJ wants a big brother.

Somehow it seems appropriate that moneypit posted this. As long as the guy isn't just pimpin' his ride, it should be cool.

It's not my money & I've spent some $$ on some things others may question.. But [for ME] I wouldn't care for that stature- with that much into it people would always comment, hey that's the 100K Unlimited, lets see if he gets stuck... "IF" it's even wheeled.. just my opinion & taste~

It is going to be featured in some magazine. The guy will fly in to pick it up and drive it home. Price is always relative to your position in life. I could never spend that much money on any vehicle. But I have been out on the trail and had guys say, thats awful new to be out here, about my rig. I would expect that all of us LJ owners have heard that. Many guys could never spend what we did on a Jeep. Its all relative. This guy with the 100k to spend most likely is at an income level that this is no big deal. The place thats doing this isn't building trailer queens. It will be the best stuff and very capable of wheeling anywhere. If I get to see it I will take pics. and post them.

I have spent good $$ on my LJ to get it where it is now (no where close to 100k ) and i get a lot of ribbing about taking it out on the trail. But it is so great to wheel something that is just different than every other TJ out there. Yes I cheated and went with the Rubicon, but that is what it was made for. I still want to see some Pict's of what 100k will do to a LJ.

does the $100k include labor fees? I bet thats a good chunk, and it will probably have a custom paint job if it's featured in a magazine. Figure at least 10 coats of color and another 20 of clear....mmmm i hear the trees and rocks just clammoring for a taste of that paint.

The 100K is an out the door price. A friend of mine was in the shop a few weeks ago and they are working on it now. I may stop over soon and see how it's coming.
