driving in snow = fun driving in chicago traffic in snow = HORRIBLE
between the ricers plowing it with their body kits and the soccer moms who think AWD = Stop On Dime - I see accidents left and right. I'm jealous of you folks who don't have to deal with terrible traffic and worse drivers. being tailgated while the roads are slick with snow or ice is not a good feeling. Fall is sometimes just as bad - the snobby yuppies in my neighborhood don't want to pick up the leaves, they just blow them into the street. a light rain and the wet leaves turn into an oil slick.
rant over -
BRING ON THE SNOW!!!!!!! I love how easily controllable fishtails are in the jeep

I usually have to make a minimun 6 hr. drive just to see some snow. I may be going up to Kansas City, MO next month. If not, I'll be going up to our cabin in New Mexico....I can't go a winter without snow so it always means a road trip!

SNOW: you want to see snow come down here in the great white north in New Brunswick Canada and you'll see snow tonnes of it. storm here average about 4 inches to sometime 40 inches in a day,and can be very cold to, this is snowmobile heaven. And don't forget jeep unlimited heaven also. and yes I'm looking forward to snow also to try this unlimited out.it's my first jeep beside 1985 Cherokee that had 320,000 miles on it before i sold it for parts. i wish i had it back, that another story.

What is this snow thing you speak of? Are you saying that water falls from the sky, and is already frozen? What is this black magic? Witches!!!
OK, we got to play a little in the snow this year ourselves. It was mid-July in SW Colorado. My sand/rock tires performed poorly, to say the least.
Still, I'd love a few days of snow. Jeeps turn all weather into playtime.

driving in snow = fun driving in chicago traffic in snow = HORRIBLE Try Northern Virgina sometime - tons of transplants who rarely have seen snow nor know how to drive in it - we call them zipper heads, for the most, very intelligent, friendly people, put them behind the wheel with more than an inch of snow and the unzip their heads and put their brains on the floorboard for safe keeping.

DC in general is bad enough in the rain. Snow is 20x worse. It took me 3 hours to get home from the airport (25miles) in the rain last week. Pete

Not exactly an action shot, but here is the first snow covered wheels pic of the year. 6 inches in Western PA. This shot is after some 4WD-High on the farm.

That is cool! It would be tempting to bundle up and drive around without the top, doing doughnuts and freeking out the neighbors. That's all easier said than done. I've fiddled with the soft top in cool weather and it's a bear to work with. I can't imagine trying to work with it that cold. I hope you had some fun in that stuff. That's the REAL powder coating.

Someone needs to nominate 04Unlimited for December UOTM. I already nominated someone else, but that would be a great picture for the top of our web page!!!
