I hear the tkl 4 door is longer than the unlimited but not as stylish as the unlimited. what i like about the unlimited is that they kept the style the same as the normal size tj, just stretched it out a little more. no major changes. i heard that thetkl looks nothing like the current wrangler, but it is a 4 door and its longer. Rich Well I believe it will be the same deal. The new TK and the TKL will be identicle except the L will be stretched and have 4 doors. The rumor is that the TK will be 103" wheel base like the LJ and the TKL will be 138" like the follow on gladiator I have read that the standard wheelbase will be 96", and judging by the spy pictures, that seems about right. I also read that deal about 138" for the 4 door, but I think that writer misunderstood something. Think about it, an extended cab full size F150 has a 138" wheelbase. I believe a Suburban is about 125", so 138" would be one mighty long Wrangler. That's limosine territory. |

lol... a limo Wrangler... Yeah, that would be a bit to long to drive and I would need a cdl to own one. I think our wheelbases are just enough. Im definitely loving the fact their is a little extra room in the back when needed.
I saw an orange unlimited with a hardtop yesterday and it may be just me, but it appeared longer than my unlimited . I have a black softop on mine .

It's a little known fact that the orange ones are the longest of the Unlimiteds. The yellow ones get the worst gas mileage, and the green ones are the fastest.

It's a little known fact that the orange ones are the longest of the Unlimiteds. The yellow ones get the worst gas mileage, and the green ones are the fastest. I'm afraid to ask what that means for the blue ones. Oh wait! I know! The blue Unlimiteds are the sexiest! Yeah, that's it, sexy. Yep, that's gotta be it.......sexy. |

I knew there was a reason green is my favorite color... sweet. Speaking of stretched Wranglers... This is from a place called Back Country Journal. They seem to target them for the Eco-Tourist guide trade, that sort of thing. i won't be selling mine any time soon. will the 4 door version come with a soft top and hard top. i may wait and get the gladiator. now that a cool looking truck. that mean I'll have to join a gladiator forum. just kidding. I'll get rid of the 05 caravan and give my jeep LJ to my wife or my 2 year old daughter,and then get the gladiator.I'll have best of both worlds. PS those stretch jeeps must be hard on gas  |
