Well just got back from the French Lick Jeep Jamboree. Matt (my son-in -law) had a great time. His Rubi is no longer a virgin. The skid plates got a good work out. Now he wants to get going on a lift. Funny how that happens. I was at the bottom of a steep rock hill taking pics. I was talking to the wife of a friend that was waiting his turn to come down. I asked how she was liking the JJ. She said she hated it. All this is boring she said. I suggested that she try driving. Well her husbands Jeep is a manual trans and she did not feel comfortable dring a stick on the trails. So here comes my big mistake, I say you can drive mine ,it's an automatic. So after lunch we were going to finish up on some easy trails. She drove great for about an hour. Had a good feel for the trail, I wasn't nervous. Then it happened. We were coming down a small hill and all of a sudden she accelerates into a Grand Cherokee infront of us. I think her foot slipped off the brake onto the skinny pedal and wham! She's screaming and I'm yelling BRAKE! Here is the result of letting someone drive your Jeep. She hit hard enough to bend my Hansen Bumper back about 1". The worst part is the accident follows the Vehicle not the driver. So I have to claim this on my insurance. She's going to pay my deductable but the accident goes against me and I didn't even get to do the damage. So for all that were not aware of what happens when someone else drives your Jeep you are now warned.

So I take it she really hates Jamborees now?

You could be right about that. While she was driving ,she was talking about getting her own Jeep. Can't say for sure now!

At least your Jeep doesn't look too much worse for wear.

Wow, is that a horrible story. Although, if you follow up with a story about somebody stealing one of your doors during an Eagles game, I'll start to wonder...
Just pulling your chain.
Do you think the brush guard saved your Warn from harm? She had to bend the Hanson. Couldn't have whacked the fenders instead, forcing you to get tube replacements. Fate is such a !@#$.

Thanks for the replies guys. Neither of those thing has happened to me yet. But this huge Hawk dove down on me and tore through my soft top had stole my sandwich during lunch. There was quite a fight! I had to get 300 stitches. The guy behind me was driving a yellow LJ missing his windows and a door. The Hawk was scared off by him. I didn't get his name, I'd love to thank him.
