We went last year - had a blast! Wish we could go this year but Wisconsin is just too far.

@ huskerjoe - Too far? My wife (5 or 6 mo pregnant at the time) & I went to Camp Jeep in 04 when it was in Charlottesville VA - and we were cramped into my 02 TJ. We had a great time down there, and the surrounding areas were absolutely beautiful. You've still got time to register and drive up.

Just got home from Camp Jeep 06. Lots of fun, although the trails were not nearly as challenging as last year in the Poconos. Anyone else make it up there?

Yeah my family and I went, and you're right, the trails weren't challenging at all. Don't let that fool you, WI trails can be very challenging, and to that ends I invite you back for the Northwoods Jamboree (which my Jeep club hosts). As far as the trails go, i can say this. I belong to the only [glow=green,2,300]Jeep Only [/glow]club in WI. The problem came in the fact that our club doesn't belong to WI4WDA / US4WDA organization, so our bid to build the trails was blatantly ignored. Why don't we belong? Politics. My understanding is that WI4WDA spent a lot of time politically infighting/ struggling for power and doing very little to support the sport of OHV driving. Our club left (along with other 4x4 clubs) and founded WOHVA (wi off highway vehic assoc) that supports all forms of off highway recreation (snowmobilee ATV and OHV). So please, don't think that WI trails are all like the ones at Camp Jeep. The rumor that I heard from one of the trail guides that I know, is that Camp Jeep requested that all the trails be able to be run by stock vehicles.
