I am going on a road trip to the Sierra in a couple of weeks. I would love some suggestions on easy trails to get started on. I am planning on taking the 36 west off I-5 from Red Bluff to the Humbolt Redwoods. After Humbolt, I will head south then go east through Yosemite on Tioga Pass for a few days of hiking/camping then arriving at Mono Lake. I have the map for the Mono Lake area and there are lots of dirt road/4WD trails. Any recommendations for something not too tough for a beginner at Humbolt or Mono Lake or anywhere up that way?? Oh! I really need help on storage options! I ordered an Insta-trunk from Best top through Off-Road Warehouse but they can't seem to get it delivered in time before my trip. Any other suggestions?? Thanks!

You might have to hunt around but I know that a company just released a storage unit like the one on the post above. I'll try to look to see where I found that link and post it up here. As for wheelin' up north, I'm not too sure about any trails but if you make your way down a little more south, towards central Cal, I can give you some suggestions or even meet up with ya

I got it here. 4wd.com/newsite/shop/productdetail.asp?pid=13101 Everyone sells them for the same price new. Maybe you can find one cheaper on ebay used. It is the best and worth every penny
